I received my 510 from Cignot + PCC kit yesterday. I also received pre-filled Marlboro High carts and 5ml, 26mg Hllington and RY4. I also have some 18mg Flue Cured & Cool Rush cartos from Liquid Xpress.

First things first. HIGH NIC LEVELS ARE SERIOUS. I puffed a little on the Marlboro High and, man, I was loopy and light headed for sure. I had to eat something to get my bearings back. Sooo, I took a break and puffed a bit on the Liquid Xpress cartos later. I think 18mg is still a bit high for me, as I see myself quickly turning into a chain vaper. Of course, the lovely members of this forum have made it abundantly clear that it's always a good idea to keep some low-nic or no-nic juice around.

I'll be ordering some doublers from TV today. And so begins the inevitable flavor & strength hunt. Also, I'll be posting the two unopened 5ml, 26mg Hillington & RY4 for trade in the appropriate place.

Now, my impressions of actually vaping. I love it. I don't even have a flavor that I'm totally into yet, but that will come in time. The 510 delivers TH and vapor that surely lives up to my expectations. Nothing burning, no nasty odor, I can wait as long as I please between pulls. It's just great!

PS: Am I a "vapor" or a "vaper"? Is it a UK/US thing? Vaper makes sense to me, but I will conform if I must.

PSS: I was playing Scrabble last night and pulled some tiles, the first potential play that jumped out at my was A-T-T-Y. Thanks ECF.:p

(I apologize for such a choppy and disconnected post. I'm very excited, and maybe a little jacked on nicotine.)

Loved your post!
Got a few chuckles and I can totally relate to your juice/nicotine experience.

It could also be vapour....... Couldn't it be?
Congrats on your new vice :D

TV is a great choice for many reasons, but they're definitely a top pick if you want to experiment with your nic strength. I recommend getting at least one of their popular nic-juice flavors to go with your doublers. TV's creations can fix a lot of weirdness in juice from other places, don't get me wrong, but to truly understand why so many people love the place you've gotta try it pure. :D

Vapor vs Vaper: I'm not aware of hard rule, but in dictionary terms vapor is the cloud our vaporizers produce. Since that word is taken I use vaper to describe someone who uses a PV.

You may want to hold on to those juices for at least a little while longer. When I first transitioned from analogs to e-cigs, 18mg nic would kill my throat even on a mouth inhale first. I didn't get light-headed or feel loopy but it was a little too high. I had so many bottles that were 18mg so I kept on it and in a few days time the 18mg nic was okay, and I also ordered some higher nic juices. 18 - 26mg nic is my sweet spot, higher in the day and lower at night.

I was a Marlboro Light's guy.

Either way at least you are getting enough nic not to have cravings for analogs, very crucial in these early stages! :)

Thanks for the advice.

This is my line of thinking as well.

SalientOrange, really great post! Very happy that you are getting the venerable 510 working, and vaping well. Too much nic is a common initial oopsie. I am most comfortable with around 10 mg juices with my 510 PVs. That said, I would keep some of the high-nic around, even if you dilute some of it. A couple drops of high-nic on the bridge, while the cart is low nic, is a nice combo for a few good nic hits when its needed. You will also find that because it is not smoke, and thus no CO or CO2, there are lots of ways of inhaling and exhaling the vapor. I take a big hit into the mouth, inhale is somewhat shallowly, then exhale out of the nose really slowly. Nic is absorbed primarily in the mouth, throat and nasal passages, not the lungs in general, so this method gets most of it. But its all good, all fun, and play around. You know what a bit too much nic feels like now, so you can gauge yourself.

And FWIW, the person is a vaper, the clouds are vapor.

An update and a question, hope someone looks in on this thread.

I've come to the conclusion that even 18mg is too much nic. for me. I'm surprised, but I'm listening to my body and this is what it's telling me. I just received the Red Oak Sampler from JC (Only available in 18mg). So far I love the Swiss Dark and the Tennessee Cured, the two I've tried so far. The thing is, I'm getting too much nicotine to enjoy vaping. I have a number of low-nic. juices on order, so all is not lost, and I haven't smoked an analog since before my 510 batteries were charged for the first time.

Now my question. It seems to me that mixing equal parts 0-nic. & 18mg-nic Tennessee Cured would produce 9mg juice? Am I failing to consider something?

Thanks for any and all help. You folks are fantastic.

Yes mixing it with 0 nic would take it down to 9, I wouldnt take it down quite that far , you will lose flavor with that much. Try more like 2/3 nic to 1/3 0 nic for starters. 1 to 3 ratio
sometimes it doesnt take much lowering to make a big difference.
You can also vape 0 nic in between times to control it more ,
TV doublers are great for this, no nic but full flavor for a very good price.

Looking over this again, I see how it may be unclear. Edit in red.

As others have said, you're bound to lose flavor if you cut the juice by half. As I see it, you have at least two alternatives. You could buy bottles of just flavoring and add a few drops to the diluted juice. Unfortunately, you probably won't be able to find Tennessee cured in a flavoring but if you're willing to compromise with something at least compatible, that might work for you. Otherwise, you could try to put up your juices on the classifieds either to sell or to trade for something more to your liking.

If all else fails, you could always do as I do and find a needy friend who'd be willing to take them off your hands. :D
