I'm actively unboxing everything and typing as I go so excuse the strange nature of my post...

I got my shipment from Libertyecigs.com today. I placed my order on a Saturday night and recieved it next Wednesday morning. The shipping was free USPS Priority because my order was over $50 or so, but it would have only been like $5 otherwise I think.

My order consisted of:
1 Joye510 with 1 blue LED and 1 orange LED, 2 attys, and 5 ready to fill carts
1 11mg/15ml e-juice Apple
1 0mg/15ml e-juice Apple
1 11mg/15ml e-juice Vanilla
1 0mg/15ml e-juice Vanilla
1 11mg/15ml e-juice Banana
1 0mg/15ml e-juice Banana

I recieved everything I ordered exactly as I ordered it, and in working condition, so I'm very happy about that. :) They also threw in a little extra polyfill (I don't know if that's common or not)

Both of my batterie's LED's lit up when I pressed the button right out of the box, which I assume is a residual charge from testing.

I haven't vaped yet, as I'm waiting for my battery to at least charge up a little before I lose my vaping "virginity"

The vanilla liquid smells like sugar cookies... mmm.
The apple doesn't really have much of a smell.
The banana actually doesn't smell too pleasant. Maybe a bit like alcohol?

I filled a cart with vanilla. It took like 15 drops to fill it up, but I was being very careful, so some of them may have been half-drops.

Well the green light on my charger says my batteries already charged, so here goes my first vape...

Hmm... mixed reactions. Excellent vapor production when I toke it like a pipe or a cigar, but not so great on the inhale. The flavor is ok... like a light flavor of sugar cookies. There's not much of a smell in the air which is good.

*hack* That last hit was a little harsh and scratchy... probably just because I've yet to break in the atty. I just put a couple drops on the atty... forgot to do that before; it;s much better now.

Well I'm going to keep breaking in this baby and I'll let you know how things go as I keep using it. My plan is to not use any analogs, but I won't abstain if I really need one. (I'll let you know if I do, or if I at least crave one)

Well I've been putting my new 510 through it's paces for over 24 hours now and I can now share some more detailed info.

To start off, I've smoked cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and even from a hookah in my day, so I've aquired a good variety of smoking experience.

The e-cig is really quite different than anything else. (I suppose mainly due to the fact that your not burning anything or actually smoking) I wouldn't compare it to an analog cigarette, I'd probably compare it most to a hookah. It has that same "light, airy feel" when you take a drag from the e-cig as it does when you smoke from a hookah. Cigarette smoke feels really heavy and thick (likely due to all the horrible things it contains) by comparison.

What I am basically trying to say is that you can't feel the vapor going down into your lungs when you inhale like smoke from an analog. It just feels like inhaling tasty air. It's a little disappointing since it doesn't replicate that weighty feel, but I realize that that is a good thing, and it's something I will get used to in time.

I haven't had a cigarette since I got my 510 in the mail, but I have entertained the thought a couple of times; if for no other reason than to directly compare the two. I may try one in a week or so just so I can compare them.

The combination of having a new "toy", being able to vape in the house, wanting to break it in, and experimenting have me vaping pretty heavily. I'm very happy with it so far, and I can't wait to start showing it off.

I have to say I'm not a big fan of the liquids I got. There's really not a whole lot of flavor from any of them; just a light, sweet taste and a very vague hint of tobacco (maybe). It's not that I dislike the taste of any of them, but they don't taste a whole lot like what they advertise, they're just sweet. Telling one flavor apart from another seems like it would be about as hard as telling apart different colors of M&M's.

I was planning on ordering liquids from eliquidplanet.com when I get the chance because I've heard good things about them. They have a great selection of flavors in all different strengths.

I'd recommend Libertyecig.com to anyone looking to purchase a starter kit or spare parts, but their liquids leave something to be desired. That being said, I have nothing to compare them to, and I only tried a couple flavors of liquid, so I may retract any part of that statement later. They have good prices, good selection, good options, and shipping is free or cheaper compared to what I've seen elsewhere.

More to come... stay tuned. :)

Not feeling the vapor is called no "throat hit" and you can sure get that as strong as you want, depending on your juice and the PV (Personal Vaporizer) you're using, etc. So do a search here on 'throat hit' and see what comes up.

You seem highly motivated and willing, both good qualities! Good luck to you and come back and post often! :D (Look at my stats below...I'm such an expert! hahahaha)

Hey, I just wanted to say: great point! I think some users try to make a side by side comparison of e-cigs to analogs, but for me e-cigs are more like smoking a hookah.

Just my two noob cents: Your taste buds might still be dull from analogs. The liquids will hopefully taste better soon. Also for me flavors blend a little when I use the same atomizer.

It was interesting reading your post about your first time. I made the mistake of ordering the 14 day "free" trial from smoking everywhere - it's been a week and still haven't received it, but when I do, I'll be cancelling. I also ordered a 510 kit from innovapor.com and there's also a delay on that because of some problem with the eco pure juice. And, I ordered some juice from Rocky Mtn vapor, which I'll probably get before I get anything to use it with.

So, I'm just continuing to read posts and trying to be patient until I can actually try this vaping. The more I read, the more I'm smoking regular cigs and they're not tasting all that good.

I've only been vaping for 2 days now, so I doubt I've fully broken in my atty's yet, which could be the cause of a lot of my "problems". I've noticed that the taste of each flavor has become a little more recognizable from time to time. Most of the time, they still just have a sweet taste to them, but if I get a good drag, the flavor is there; it's just subtle.

I've been experimenting with how to properly drag the 510 as opposed to an analog cigarette. I've tried a long, slow pull like from a hookah, which just makes the atty run really hot and doesn't produce a good amount of vapor. Fast, hard pulls like from an analog cigarette are better, but still not right. A decent hard drag for several seconds seems to produce the best results from me. I've heard that if you pull too hard, you could wind up with a mouthful of juice. This hasn't happened to me yet, but it does have me a little cautious.

I forgot to mention earlier that the morning after my first vaping, I awoke with a sore throat which is still hanging around a bit. I've heard that it's common for the first week or so, but I figured I'd mention it. It doesn't feel like that same kind of horrible sore throat I've had multiple times after a night of drinking and smoking too many analog's. It certainly doesn't hurt and make you cringe every time you drink or eat something, it feels more like just a little lump in your throat when you swallow.

I had almost the exact same experience! As I was waiting for my e-cig to arrive in the mail, I began to notice more and more just how little I actually liked the taste of my analogs.

Hmm... I guess I misunderstood the meaning of a "throat hit". I thought it referred to the harshness or the kick it has on the inhale, though I guess it's probably a little of that too.

I thought this too, but I have no problems tasting food... or at least I assume so. I admit my sense of smell is nearly non-existent, but I think my taste buds are still alive and kicking. I try to clean out my atty and use different carts for different flavors to avoid having them all mix together, though I have mixed apple and banana together on purpose; it's just too subtle I think.

You'd be surprised at how much taste comes from your sense of smell. Also, I noticed when I first started with my 510 that I wasn't getting a lot of throat hit and vapor. Part of it, I'm sure, had to do with needing to break in the atomizer. However, I played around with the way I hit it and that had to do with it too. I was trying to hit it like a cigarette and then trying to hit it slower like a hooka or whatever. This may be controversial for me to say in the open but I will anyway. I find the best way to hit a 510 is to hit it like you would hit a joint. If you've never smoked weed then I guess the best way to explain this to you is to draw the vapor into your mouth BEFORE you inhale it. Do it long and slow or in hard little spurts - but don't inhale it until it feels like your tongue is backing up into your throat. I'm getting much greater amounts of vapor since I started doing it this way. I just don't quite have the lung capacity yet to draw a long slow drag directly into my lungs. But I'm getting there! Anyway, I have lots of practice hitting weed, even though its only an indulgence for me a few times a year now, so it kinda came natural to me when I figured out that hitting it like a cigarette or a hooka wasn't working lol. I used to be a total pothead when I was younger. Hope this helps.

:shock:DISASTER!

I was leaving the local grocery store and got to my car where I took a puff from my 510 and put it back in my pocket. I got in my car and started to head home and went to take another puff or two... I searched all my pockets becoming more and more panicked until I realized that I didn't have it. I searched around my seat hoping that it had fallen out of my pocket into the seat, but alas it had not. It was around this time I noticed a little hole in the bottom of my pocket...

I hurried back to the parking lot where I discovered my beautiful e-cig lying there next to where my car had been parked. I crookedly pulled my car into the spot or two next to it fearing the worst. It was still in one piece, but not without the scars of mistreatment. It appeared that I had ran over the very tip of it (the battery end, unfortunately) and bent the tip into a bit of an oval shape and popped off the now ruined LED cover exposing the battery and LED inside.

I was with my wife, so I had to hold back the tears (lol) as I brought my fallen friend back to the car. I wiped it down a little bit, and gave it a good puff. To my surprise, the LED illuminated, the atty became hot, and a great cloud of vapor poured from my mouth as I exhaled. My dear friend was still alive and kicking!

It looks a little worse for the wear, but it still functions perfectly fine to my knowledge. Try running over an analog cigarette and see if you can still use it! lol.
