First manual coming

Hey Folks,

I have my first manual ENI coming and am wondering if there is anything I should know about using it. I understand that I have to push the button to activate the battery to heat the atomizer. I'm just wondering if there is a proper(best) technic? e.g. Do you push the button prior to inhale or right on inhale. Thank you.

Some say a manual battery doesn't need to be primed. I have found on certain devices, that hitting the switch for about 1 second, before beginning to vape/suck on it, decreases the overall time you need to vape on it and for some reason delivers more vapor and a greater more satisfying vape.

I usually hold the button down as I'm grabbing it and putting it up to my lips. This gives it the perfect time to start heating up to the right temperature so as soon as I inhale I'm getting a good strong vape. I also however release a few moments before I finish the drag because if you've ever blown through the mouthpiece to where the smoke comes out of the air intake holes, you'll see the atomizer coil takes a few moments to cool back down, so I know I'm getting every last bit of vapor in the atomizer/cartridge air holes. I know this really doesn't make the biggest difference for anything, but I'm OCD so I must!

I also ordered my first manual over the weekend. Excited for it to come in. I used my friends 510 manual, which convinced me to make the switch, so I ordered one of the cig sized models, which I was content with...so I thought...

Then my friend came back over with his 510, after I'd been using mine for a couple of weeks, and the amount of vapor and the size of hit he was getting from his was a lot higher than what I get.

I guess the cash savings don't start until you settle on a model and get your accessories purchased, cause I've spent $250 on ecig stuff this month...but with the new setup I have coming I shouldn't have to buy anything for quite a while.

I'm constantly showing mine off to co-workers, and have been hit up for more info from many of them.

What I do (and what I assume most people do) is hit the button about half a second before I start inhaling, then let it go about half a second before I finish. It works very well - much better than the auto 4081 I had previously which had to be primed with a puff or two to warm it up.

I agree with candre23. The annoying thing about automatics is that the strength of your breath intake affects the quality of your pull of vapor. On manuals you just need to hold down the button for a second before inhaling and then you're fine.

Thank God for manual batts! I don't know how I ever got any satisfaction from auto.
I don't think they should even sell the auto's!

Tempted to agree. I remember when I first started I thought the automatic would be the most like actually smoking. After a while the desire to replicate an analog fades, though, because vaping is so unique and so much its own thing.
