Haha! Believe me, I'm not a novice & I absolutely understand what I'm talking about. The terminology has been changed recently to hybrids for direct battery contact. There's not a huge majority of vapors using true hybrids, but there's a huge amount using "today's" hybrids. Have a good day.

No, the uninformed have mistakenly used the incorrect terminology because they are lazy.

"Hybrid look" became "hybrid"

It's wrong.
There is a HUGE difference.

Hybrids are probably the safest of
Mechs.

They have dedicated atomizers so you can't put the "wrong" atty on it.

Hybrid LOOK mechs are probably the most dangerous of all in the hands of a novice.... But everyone wants the look.

Hybrids aren't hugely popular because they aren't for novice vapers.
You can't cheat and slap an Atlantis on top.

Again, know your gear.

This turned into an argument about hybrid.. I don't know what they are and I don't know why we're discussing it.
I just want to know if this mech mod is any good lol,
this is the link:
https://www.fasttech.com/product/3476800

I understand it has a direct contact, but this shouldn't be a problem as I want a mech mod to try it out and I went with this one because it matches well, also I don't plan on using a different rda. it will JUST be the one supplied with it, so the no centerpin issue, is no longer an issue, right?

Edit: I forgot to mention I also plan on not getting those Aspire batteries anymore, I need something that can accustom my 16A draw (assuming no voltage drop and fully charge battery at 4.2v) I'm going to build a dual clapton coil at 0.25 (0.5 each)

Edit2: Screw it, I'm just gonna get a nemesis.

We are tying to educate you and
a few members so you can be safe.
Terminology does matter.
Sorry that our concern for your safety annoys you, but we would rather you didn't blow your face off and have to see it on the 6 o'clock news.

Try looking for a mechanical that has a center pin, lock ring and read more about battery safety.

I understand your concern but I stated I wouldn't be using a different RDA so the centerpin shouldn't be a problem, the one supplied with it works well and is the right length on the RDA. The direct contact isn't a problem unless I'm using other RDA's.

No ones telling you otherwise.
Again, you are an adult and can make your own decisions.
The mod you are choosing is based on a design that is probably the least safe of all mechs....for your first mechanical mod.
Stevie Wonder could see the risk in that.
Walk, then run.

Okay well can you recommend a safer mech? I'm interested in one with a nice design. The problem is trying to find a mech and an atomizer that goes well and is the same shade/hue/type of colour.

Safety first, image second. Personally my safety is a priority over how I "look".
My suggestion?
Knurled king clone. $15-20.
Hits like a brick, thick, recessed button, reverse locking ring, solid copper contacts. Fully adjustable for battery rattle, and accepts all 18xxx series batteries.
Comes in brass, copper, or stainless.
