I just completed my first mod! I bought the 5V mod box kit from madvapes.com. The kit was much easier than I thought it would be. I was under the impression that the soldering would be very difficult, considering how small the board is and the small gauge of the wire. I was amazed when I finished it and it worked on the first try. My only issue was that I reversed the L.E.D. connections, flip flopped the anode and cathode when I trimmed the legs to fit I guess. They had easy-to-follow instructions on their blog. Making the mod was incredibly fun! I just ordered all types of stuff from the shack to build a vv, flashlight, and whatever else I can make with all the stuff I ordered.
vaping at 5 volts is incredible! The throat hit, vapor, and taste are soooooo much better than my 510 and eGo (even thought I liked them a lot, but now I have not interest in them ha ha). So far I've tried it with the eGo/510 atty and a Boge 2.7ohm carto. Both are great!
