I MADE A BATTERY BOX mod

IT WAS SURPRISINGLY EASY!

I'm only a senior in high school, yet I was able to do this in about two hours!

basically just wired LED and atomizer in parallel, connected it to the battery.

I do not have a drill so i used the soldering iron to melt the holes, and used a sharp knife to cut off the excess.

First time, I used a 2 AA housing and used one battery, but I guess it was too weak.

The next time, I used the 4 AA housing and used 3 batteries. Results were amazing!!!

I ordered the 3.7v battery that fits in a AA slot from deal extreme, so when it comes in the mail I will use the 2 AA housing.

Yes, it is a little bulky, but hey, I did this in two hours. total cost was about 20$ (Battery housing + soldering iron + atomizer + cartridge + LED)

btw i never had any experience soldering stuff before!

special thanks to Nicostick! He basically taught me how to make it!

Could you show a closer pic of your LED and wiring? Did you use any resistors to limit the power to the LED? What kind of LED did you use?

I've been wanting to try an LED for a while but I don't want to wire it all together and find out it doesn't work. I hold all the pieces together, and nothing happens, then I realize, I was using a resistor that I would have needed for the 3.6 v, but I was only holding one battery in my hands at 1.2 v which would have limited the power to the LED to next to nothing I think. So, I used a 3.7v battery, but it was dead, and I don't have a charger for it. :( GRR! Anyways, I'd like more imput on it, I don't know too much about this stuff.

Are you sure you are over 18? You don't look it....and kids should not smoke or vape. Sorry, throwing that out there, big brother is watching!

so basically not too many people focused on the mod itself, but whether or not I am 18

but to answer those few questions....

planet of the vapes: I had the wirings in series before, but nicostick told me to do it in parallel, and I did and it works. He said I should put a 100 Ohm 1/4 Watt Resistor with the LED, but I was not able to go to radioshack today. Right now, I have it without the resistor, but it seems to be working fine... I may add the resistor later because Nicostick said "Without the resistor, the led dies quickly."
I used an LED from Radioshack... I forgot exactly what it was called but its about the size of an eraser from the tip of the pencil. I got pink but I saw many other colors.

Another thing is that this is a box mod made from the DSE 103 Super mini... I think all the box mod in the forums are for the 901. I just soldered one wire to the middle part (+) and wrapped another wire around the circular part and soldered it so that it will stay on tightly.

Ill provide pics later when I get home.
