First mod... need a liitle help.

I am going to get a mod. This will be my first. So I need some batteries and charger. I don’t know what brand to get or where is a good place to get them. What would be a good charger to pick up. Is there a charger that will charge most batteries for future mods? Any help would be great on what brand and best place and price to pick this stuff up at. It says it take two 14500. Any good sale on these things right now? Thanks

IMO for a charger TrustFire TR-001 Lithium Ion Battery Charger Works with most any cylindrical Li-Ion 3.7 volt batteries: 18650, 18500, 18350,17670, 16340, 14650, 14500, 14430, 10440

IMO for the 14500 Protected Trustfire 14500 Battery, 900 mAH these are protected. Have to make sure they are protected, can blow up in the charger if they are not. The real cheap ones are normally not protected.

AW brand batteries are what you want. Trustfire and ultra fire have problems with qc and conterfiting (terrible spelling I know). AW is also very close to a true mah rating, where as trustfire and ultrafire exagerate theres by quite a bit. Only a couple bucks more but well worth it imo.

Aw imr batteries also have a higher discharge rating (more oomf for more time) and even though they're not protected, the chemistry used in them is from what I hear a lot safer than lithium ion.

I've got 3000mah ultrafire batteries for my roughstack and in comparison to my aw imr 18650 1600mah, the aw imr definitely gives a mor satisfying vape for longer.

+1 on the AW batteries and Super T no dissapointments with them. AW only gets the best 1st pick cells from Japan.

Acknowledged best charger is the Pila IBC Charger, but it's pricey...@ $45.00. Best Batteries are the AW IMRs. As Jimbalny stated, RTDVapor is having a holiday sale right now. I think I need protected batteries. That is what the website is saying. I see the IMR are on sale but not the protected ones.

IMR's will work in a mod that uses protected batteries, and are widely considered just as safe as protected batteries due to there chemistry. The only trouble you might run into is they are about 2mm shorter due to not having a protection circuit. This can be fixed by adding a earth magnet to the top.

IMHO IMR's are the way to go, they seem to last longer and give a better "hit" per vape.

You don't need any AW IMR batts unless you are vaping with LR at 3.7V. Also, I would stick with the recommended batts. Any other might present problems in one way or the other.

I like the pila charger it expensive but its a quality charger and stops the charging when its complete, some of the lower priced chargers don't. you have to watch them and when the green light comes on take them off quick or you will be overcharging them. AW' s get my vote for best batteries but i still use trustfires and tenergy and others.

Ok..I'm not an expert but I have had an ego, V2 cigs and I was ready for something different. I just got a mod style device called the Switchback from Vaporbeast.com. Looks great and can be smoked from both sides so you can switch flavors. Only 49 bucks and comes with 10 carts. The Low Resistance Boge carts are amazing.
