Hi all!

I'm looking to dive seriously into the vaping world now that I've quit cigarettes for good!
So I first started vaping on a ego-t at first and then got 2 Ego twists.
Which for the most part I'm pretty happy with. I vape around 1-2mls a day, but I need to vape more and reduce nicotine intake.
Thing is I only found like 2 or 3 flavours which I like and they are very sweet, so I kinda get sick of them.
I've ordered 5 vg tobacco flavors from HHV along with an atty so I can start dripping and test new flavors...

I've also decided to get a kanger pro tank and a new PV, a mod.
I'm kinda split between a Provari or a Buzz Pro.

My wallet tells me to go for the Buzz Pro...130$ shipped.
But my head tells me, I'll always be curious about the Provari, and even after the Buzz Pro I'll probably end up getting one.
Also, is there a lock on the Buzz Pro?
Cuz I'd be carying my stuff in a messenger back and it can get quite bumpy in there (lots of different electronics and metal aritfacts in there, secured for the most part but there still some stuff moving around).

And yes, I'd be paying around 250$ with shipping for the Provari+extension cap 1x14490 and 1x14650+charger and a 510 atty :(

So I need some help for this decision as this is a big investment for me, then again, whatever gets me off cigs for good!

I think the Provari will be more reliable. I had nothing but issues with my Infinity (same insides as a Buzz). When I received my Inifinity, the switch didn't work so I had to send it in. When I got it back, the batteries I had no longer fit. The entire thing fell apart a few months later because the electronics are glued to the tube and any time juice leaks, it easily gets through the many large holes in the units and eats away at the glue. if you don't drip, the Buzz or Infinity may work for you. The regulation is great -- no noticeable drop in vapor/hit until there are only a few hits left on the battery, but the Provari is the gold standard for good reason.

Truth be told, I would buy a cheap Chinese VV/VW mod before buying a Buzz.

I have both and both are great well built mods. I love the BP for it simplicity, adjust to taste and don't worry about the numbers, the way it should be imo and yes it has a on/off, it has an insulator on the battery cap, around one quarter of a turn and it won't fire.

If it's going to be your first mod though I think I'd recommend the Provari because it has a ohm meter built in, very useful tool for checking atty/carto resistance, troubleshooting and also a must if you ever get into building your own attys.

I actually just bought a satin finish Provari 2.0 with blue led, extension and charger( 2x18490 and 1x18650) along with a Pro Tank. Can't wait :)
Damn that was expensive hehe...I'm counting on it lasting me several years though

I've read so many horror stories about the Provari. The only time the Provari lost was to a lawn mower. I take very good care of my Provari, but it's good to know exactly how durable it is.

I've got a couple that are 18 months, going strong. Clean it every 2 or 3 weeks and it will treat you quite well. Congrats and enjoy!

neither- get a shan mods gadget dual with the dna20 board $140 otd. last forever and will rock anything you put on it. you can customize it the way you want. why settle for old technology no matter how well it's made? how is your rotary phone doing?

No knock on the DNA20's; I've got two great ones that I like a lot. But old technology or not, if I had to choose just one thing the keep, it'd be a Provari. Strictly opinion, but for me it's still the best vape out there. I keep expecting that to change, but the technology hasn't caught up with the vape yet (for me).

You won't be going wrong with anything mentioned in these threads though, I'll say that. The Buzz is great, just a little light on the battery capacity for me, and the DNA20's are really nice, if you're not a low wattage vaper (they don't regulate under 4 volts).

Go with your instinct & personal preference since all are great devices.

Sorry, I just do not see the ProVari as being antiquated. Something doesn't need a million upgrades to be relevant. As it is, it meets my needs. Which doesn't mean I don't have mechs or that I don't want a DNA 20 mod because I do. Just because new technology exists doesn't mean we must all embrace it.
