Hey there fellow vapors, for the past week, I have been spending 3 to 4 hours a day watching YouTube videos and reading ECF threads on the different types of mods out there. If I put this type of dedication into school I could have been a doctor!

In the next few days I will be making the big purchase. It will actually be a gift; I offered to help out of pocket depending on price (Above $150). So I can now get the mod that was I was not able to afford. I currently use an ego 3.3v 1100 mah battery with either a LR 306 atty or a cartomizer for driving. There are a couple of things that are a must for me such as battery lasting me the whole day, small enough to keep in pants pocket when needed, hold enough fluid to get me through the day (bottom feeder, tank, etc.), something durable to last me through my drunken escapades and something that looks good.

I have a list I from my most favorite, down. Please correct me if I’m wrong or add whatever you thing could help me finalize my decision.

  1. PROvari: Black w/ blue LED (should I wait for the blue LED?)

I like the build quality and design of this MOD. I really don’t want to have to use the extended clip but would like to have a battery last a full day. Wondering if a Tankomizer would get the same amount (or close to) of vapor production and taste as direct drip. Is there going to be an update to the Provari.

  1. Reo mini: Black

I have never used a bottom feeder but the concept seems really interesting. I hear they are indestructible. Don’t think I like the looks of it to much. Would like it to be a VV mod.

  1. Sgt. Vv (version 3): any color

Don’t know to much about the mod other that it being a bottom feeder and VV. REALLY like how the version 3 looks.

  1. V Mod: Black

Would not purchase until there was an updated version that performed like the V Mod XL. Wish it were VV.

  1. Tie between Buzz Pro and wood box Mods.

Please let me know if there are any MODs that are upcoming release I should keep an eye out for.

Love my REO. I have both the REO Grand and the REO Mini. The Mini is a better fit in my pocket/hand, but the REO Grand battery (18650) lasts much longer. Love, love, love the bottom-feeder aspect of them. Load it and go. Period. With the Mini, I just stick an extra battery (little, 14500) in my purse (actually, I hang in on my keychain with a little pouch meant to hold a thumb drive) and go. I highly recommend a REO. Period.

I know you mentioned $150 as a ceiling but since this is your first venture into mods, i.e. higher voltages, why don't you compromise. Foxy Box Mods has a Variable Voltage kit which comes with 2 14500 batteries, and a charger for $58. Add 2 additional batteries at $10 and you are loaded for bear for less than $70.

I've been using mine about a month and it is set to vape at 4, 5, and 6v. I've found that different settings really change the flavor and throat hit. And, the fully charged batteries last me almost 2 days before I need to recharge.

Might be an option. Just saying.

I recommend the Reo but depending on your habit the Grand might be needed for true all day power. I read that VV versions are in the works. Its actually a really nice device to hold, pictures don't do it justice. It works as advertised.

I really like the REO Mini. I don't vape to heavily so I think that the battery might last me the whole day but I really want a VV mod. I find myself adding a Mod to my shopping cart ever couple of days, then deleting it just to make sure that my purchase is perfect for me. JC that USB pouch idea is genius! Do you guys have any idea when the REO are going to be VV?

I just know what I read and it is hard for me to pinpoint a date, but checkout the sub forum for great info. REO Forum I would definitely buy a high quality mod, don't go for a cheap substitute you will regret it later on. What makes you want a VV mod? I was always curious because I've never felt like I couldn't find a nice vape with the 3.7v-6v-7.4v options. I know the 5v mark was known as the sweet spot for a long time, so maybe I'm missing out on something I currently can't get with varying ohm rating atty's and a 3.7v device?

Good luck on your search I think you have a good list going to work from.

All my knowledge based on VV mods is either read or watched. From what people have said different liquids have different sweet spots. I have only found one liquid I like (cappacino). I'm hoping a VV mod helps me find others. It's seems with every purchase I'm learning what my dislikes and likes are. I'm leaning more towards Provari until REO makes a VV. It's almost impossible to find a bad review on the provari other the the price. I was smoking a pack a day, 6 dollars a pack 30 days a month. I could buy a MOD a month with all this money I save.

Don't count the buzz pro or infinity pro out. Excellent mods, excellent rep, cheaper than a Provari, easier to adjust than a Provari, but no digital display. you can get a BP with a M1A1 tank and 2 sets of batteries for $153.00 if you use coupon code "ECF buzzkill"

As far as VV devices go, I have 2 Provari's one satin/red, one black/blue. Actually just sold the black/blue one because I actually prefer the satin one.

I have a Lavatube which is junk.

I have a buzzpro on order.

I had a Darwin, which was awesome, but just not practical for my needs on the form front.

I just went back and read all of your posts...
I didn't think I would like the feel of a box mod either, that completely changed after my first Reo.
VV-step on over to the reo sub forum, there is a thread about when they are coming out.(I'm not looking at it because I feel the need to buy every reo I read about)
Come to the lounge http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/95123-reo-lounge-reo-grand-opening-sale.html and ask any questions you have, there are always helpful folks around. There are batteries to make reos perform at higher volts. (the reonauts in the lounge can explain, I can't because I'm happy at 3.7)

Why do you think a Lavatube is junk? I'm waiting on one. :(

Why do you think a Lavatube is junk? I'm waiting on one. :(

Cosmetic issues with battery cap, flaking paint, voltage regulation that doesn't regulate very well. This is on my particular LT. Others have reported no issues, while others still report these and other issues.

Point being, you may get a good one, you may not. Quality control leaves a lot to be desired.

Also, I have contacted Volcano CS about my issues and was told it was my fault, no warranty.
