First mod: The Dupblow

I have been playing around with these 4 AA (and the smaller AAA) cubes for a few months, I like them. I am thinking of making a wood box mod around one with a non removable bottom and top piece and earth magnet doors for the "walls". I think for the MAH you get size wise these are not as extreme as using two of the rectangle holders...they even compare nicely to a Li-ion type mod.

BTW that is an awesome first mod

could you "gut" and remove the top of a couple more leggos and use them as the cover? super glue and some tape to hole them together. not sure how to hole it all together though, maybe a small screw through the bottom of the last block into the battery holder would do it.

That's a good idea mylt1, only problem is the duplo blocks are just SLIGHTLY too small to fit over the case...although I might be able to grind away a bit of the wall thickness and make it work...hmm..

that was the first thing that came to mind. it was funny because my 19mo was playing with his duplo blocks as i was reading this. they have different lengths as well. a dremel with a sanding drum would make quick work of enlarging the block so it would fit. even if it fails you only destroy one of your kids blocks. LOL.

nice mod and all, but idk if it's a very good idea to use kids toy's for modding, as kids toy's are supposed to be safe, and mods are likely to not be very safe at all
atleast make certain your kid can never reach your dupblow mod

I appreciate the concern, but honestly my kid is going to want to play with anything daddy has, regardless as to whether or not it's a toy. For this reason, E-Juice is always locked up in a high cabinet, and all of my vaping batts and other components are kept in my car .
