I just placed an order for some premixed eliquid including: strawberry champagne, cherry, watermelon, bubblegum, carmel, french vanilla, juicy peach, waffle and cotton candy. After reading through this forum I am really interested in going the route of mixing my own although I don't think mine will ever be as good as Dawn (based soley on the rave reviews here).

Which starter kit do I get? Does each one simply build on the previous, will I need/use everything? Where can I find recipes? I think I have enough e-liquid on hand and on the way to get me by the next 2 months but My next order will be a flavor and kit order and it will most definitely be from diyflavorshack.

Looking forward to posting great reviews on my premixed eliquid and taking the dive into DIY land.

When I ordered my kit, there weren't so many options, lol.

Each of the kits have everything you need to get started. The thing you need to think about is what lvl of nic you are vaping. You should make sure and order a kit with a nic liquid high enough that it will suit your needs once it is cut with flavoring and VG. If you are vaping a medium to high nic content (like >18mg), I wouldn't go with the Gold kit. 26mg won't really give you much wiggle room in your recipes. Personally, I like the higher nic levels for mixing because it gives me a lot of room to play with the flavoring and VG levels, even though I am currently vaping Dawn's extra-low strength liquid.

After you order your kit, you can just order the supplies you need a la carte. Different people use different supplies when mixing, so you may find that you need more of one item and don't really use another. Personally, I go through pipettes like mad, so I would order extra of those. You might want to order an extra package of mixing cups too. It's good to have several when you are mixing so you don't have to wash one every time you want to try a new flavor. You can also use them if you soak your atomizers in vodka to clean them. They are the perfect size.

Oh, I would also order more flavors when you order your kit. Mixing is seriously addictive and you will want to try more than four flavors.

You can find lots of recipes and other helpful information in the DIY forum on this site. DIY e-liquid - E-Cigarette Forum

Good luck, and have fun!
