First post and first e cig arrived today

Hi all, I have been lurking here for a week or so after deciding to look into e cigs to replace smoking 'analogs'. I hate the smoke and the way it's affecting my lungs, but I love the act of smoking! So this seems perfect. I also convinced my wife to give them a try. She is a much longer and heavier smoker than I am, so I'm really hoping it works for her as well.

Decided to start with the Bloogs, got one auto and one manual in the starter pack to try each out. They arrived today and got one on the charger! I can't wait to get vaping!

Congrats to you and good luck getting off the analogs, PVs made it so easy for me. Way better than other nic sources. You picked a solid PV with the Bloog from all I have read. Do not forget you can get cartos for that from multiple vendors including smokelessimage and Vapor4life

Thanks all and Thanks DH for the heads up on cartos. So, does that mean ANY carto will work, i.e. they all work the same and will connect to any battery?

There are lots of interchangeable parts, but you have to know what threading your bloog is. I.e. 510, 901, 306, etc.

Maybe someone more knowledgeable than myself can shed some light on the bloog's threading.

I'm relatively new here but know that there are different types of cartomizers. My eGo and Mini Reo both take a 510. 510 connections are common and work w/ a lot of models. Some 2-piece models take a 806 and there are also 901 and 306 if I'm not mistaken. Can't really tell from the site what type a Bloog is.

I wish you and your wife the best with the kit. Make sure to post here if you have questions. The more experienced members are great at giving advice and offering suggestions for newbees.

I think Bloog is KR-808d-1. Same as the Volt from Smokelessimage.com SI blank cartos are awesome!!

Bloog is indeed KR8s, so you must get compatible cartos for that, unless you get an adapter, but that can wait. I know Dormous loves his vapor4life Cartos, and you can certainly use those

Your Bloogs are kr808d-1's. Any 808 threaded cartomizer will work, but some better than others. I would stick with the newer type like Bloog, Elite VaporWorks Signature series, Volt, for now.

EDIT: Vapor4Life Wows work well too, but V4L CoolCarts, not so much IMHO.

Spare chargers are good - like one for each of you for work and enough at home to charge 4 overnight I guess. A spare battery in is good. Spare cartos and plenty of spare juice.

On the manual Bloog you can put a standard resistance DSE901 atomizer and drip tip for testing juices (LiteCigUSA.net has both), if you get a couple more plastic and delrin 510/901/KR808D-1 drip tips there, they are great as a comfortable mouthpiece on a KR8 cartomizer. And super easy to pull out to add eliquid. (I always remove the carto from the battery when adding liquid)

Eliquid - Try some of the Vapor4Life and SmokelessImage sampler packs of cartos to find stuff you like. The WOW Tobacco Shop sampler at Vapor4Life was my favorite and the WOWbacco and WOWboy in it are very nice (two cocoa tobaccos but WOWboy adds a bit of mint). Note - those WOW cartos are HOT so you will appreciate a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece. You may even want to try the WOW samplers one nic level lower than your usual because they can pack quite a hit. I use a couple of Vapor4Life WOW juices (WOW Vanilla which is more cotton candy-like, and WOWbacco) and in other juices I use PG juices with 20% or less VG in my cartomizers. Anything thicker I like I will usually drip on an atomizer at home (mmm like FreedomSMokeUSA Hopscotch and Voodoo which are 50/50 juices). In cartomizers I also avoid using juices that drop a lot of flavoring sediment because that will gunk up a carto and ruin the drag and shorten the good performance of the carto.
