Good day to all!

Checking in from St.Louis, Missouri.

In a way I've been a lurker for some time as many Google searches end up bring me to a ECF post. How awesome is that?

I have a very quick question to start off with, It's about the Sony VCT4's.

Are they or are they not still being made? Seems about 50% of what I read suggest Sony stopped making them and the other 50% seems to suggest they still do. Does anyone know for 100% what it is?

Can one consider the purple eFest 2500mAH 35AMP as a good alternative to the VCT4?

If the continuous amp rating is only 20 amps, how and why are they stating 35 amps? Now that I know this tho, I am a bit concerned.

I'm currently using the Axis box mod by AM productions using two of the eFest batteries. When building coils, I try to stay within the 0.25 - 0.35 range.

Just to make things a bit simple, let's assume I can't find any VCT4's. Any suggestions for a true 30-35 amp battery?

Basically they are advertising something that is just not the case, check out Baditudes blogs here on ECF he goes into it in great detail. Look for the 2100 mAh battery from Xtar they are re-wrapped VTC4's and have a continuous rating of 30 amps.

I actually have a pair of the Xtar VTC4 batteries and I have to say they're awesome. The only con about them is that they're about 1mm taller than other flat top batteries. They don't fit in my Sigelei 100 watt. But they do work in my iPV2 and my Cronus mech since it's a telescoping mech. So just be aware of that. But other than being taller it's just a VTC4 battery.

Good point I forgot to mention that they are a little bit bigger than all my other batteries.

hello. just started vaping, wuit smoking half to a full pack a day. just traded in my kangertech evod for an istick with a nautilus mini. i love this set up so far. all the vapers i work with have itaste mvp's but my istick ....s on their box mod

Good day and Hello,
IMO, The MVP is still king as it was one of the first mass produced box mods. The istick like so many things in this world just takes what was already done and made smaller with certain known issues fixed to make it seem like it's better than the MVP.

Personally I don't buy or carry home for free anything that says sony on it. I just hold a grudge over the betamax and the mini cdr stuff. But as for the Efest, as I understand it they make a good quality battery BUT the purple ones don't measure up to the advertised ratings. Why the purple I really don't know. And I'm kinda new with the Efest batteries myself. So....
