Hello from one overwhelmed newbie in NY. I purchased an Ego Vision starter kit and some juice from Virgin Vapor about a week ago. Unfortunately I purchased some juice that can crack the plastic and need to find a glass tank or something. I've been looking at so many different products my head is spinning. I need something that is easy to maintain for a starter. Please help  thank you.

Just bumping this up so you dont get lost on page 3, so you can get your 5 posts in. The mini protank v2's work great. Easily rebuildable and cleanable. I have two of the mini v2's. I also have 2 of the regular protank v2's, and all 4 of them dont leak and work every time. The coils clean up well too for a long life, if they don't get too gunked up before you clean them. You may read some bad reviews on them but I wonder if they were genuine Kanger. I have not ever had a single problem with a genuine Kanger product. There is a lot of sub-standard knockoffs out there. Some good ones too, but its hit and miss.

Mini Protank.

I would get the v.1 or v.2 over the v.3.

v.3 needs more battery power i.m.o. (it has two coils...)

I gotta say that one of my favorite "backup" setups is my Mini V3 on an Ego. Yes, it sucks the battery down a little quicker, but it really is a good vape.

I have two glass tanks. One is a Kamry mini X9. I love the silly thing. Stainless steel and glass -it came with a nice stainless battery as well, I think I paid about $20 for the kit. It's very small and coils and replacement heads are easy to find on ebay-it's my out-and-about fav, I slip it in a small make up bag in my purse. At home I have been using an Kanger Aero tank and like it as well. Today, thanks to the spring sale at Vapor Bank, I just ordered an Aspire Nautilus and a new pass thru battery. I'll be testing it out as soon as it arrives!

How are you sure you aren't buying a fake when buying online?

For Kanger products, not sure of others.

If the description says Authentic Kanger Product with "scratch off" code on the package, it's probably authentic. When you receive it and it has the "scratch off" code, you can go to the Kanger site to check it. If the "scratch off" code does not check out or is not on the package, it's likely that it's a "knock off" and you should be able to return it. That is, if you bought it from a respectable company/dealer.
