YO yo yo fools it's me J-Dizlle to the Lizzle and i'm just here to learn more and talk more about vaping with like minded fellows and whatnot. been doing it nonstop for about a year now, but it's been more like a year and a half and i've had quite a few opporunities to find myself in unique positions in that time period So i guess i'm gonna post some of my experiences in vaping and life and whatnot. I'm pretty young, I've been vaping since around december of 2014, I smoked cigs since 2012 and vaping was automatically wonderful to me when I picked it up. first off, I've been an avid lifter(on and off seasons each year) and cardio exerciser my whole adult life and i noticed working out was easier when i quit smoking cigarettes.
On this note- last year I spent the entire summer working and then going to the gym afterwards. I would vape heavily between work and the gym. This posed little to no problem, often downing 3-5 ml or more each day in my dripper on a sigeile 150 VW in my car, at home, and on route to the gym. NOW although it caused little problem and the nic actually gave me an energy boost and I found my cardio workouts improving(from exercise, not vaping) as i worked harder and harder each time, eventually getting up to five miles or so a day at 9 minutes a mile average, BUT after doing this through the summer and beginning of school next year, i noticed my skin was suffering. Red marks, acne, and worst of all, SMALL CUTS WOULD HEAL INCREDIBLY SLOWLY - so I went to the doctor, she said I had psoriasis, this can be caused by smoking, alcohol, toxins, etc. so i am almost 100% sure my extreme constant vape hits caused this. Therefore, I started to watch my vaping and tried to only do it AFTER exercise. I started to do throat hits more often to enjoy flavor without putting as much liquid in my body.
These changes definitely created space, and after taking some supplements, and staying more mindful, my psoriasis virtually DISAPPEARED!
Now, i know this might belong in the 'health' thread, but I think health should be one of everyones main interests who is vaping as we want to keep it as clean and healthy it can be to our knowledge to continue and propogate the safe use of our beautiful wonderful interesting devices! Anyways, I'm writing this right now because currently i am taking a break from vaping. This is very hard for me being a very dedicated vaper, and coil builder as well. Anyways MY THROAT GOT SICK! I saw another person mention this and he got SO MUCH HEAT FROM MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM IT WAS RIDICULOUS!! LOL!! just look up the post "Thrush from e liquid" on this site, and you will see what I mean.
I think that blatantly telling people off who are concerned about their health in protection of their own personal opinion on something that they don't know is true, honestly is just plain despicable and shows a person to be quite worthless.
I constantly vape, but not too long ago(a few weeks ago) I noticed that my throat was starting to hurt from vaping!! I slowed down, but i always felt better and started hitting it hard. I have looked around online and I did NOT see a lot of people with similar problems.
I did learn that there is a PH balance and realized balancing can be affected by nicotine or liquids by themselves or perhaps when and if they are not pure, alter this, and this alters your mouths ability to get a yeast infection, etc.
Now i'm pretty sure i have something like thrush(a fungal infection) and I haven't vaped but a few times one day in the last 5 days. I started taking vitamins and rinsing with mouth wash(antiseptic is a must). I noticed i can carefully scrub this fungal buildup off the back of my tounge and I noticed all this buildup going away. I'm going to see if it doesn't get better soon and then go to a doctor if that ends up being the case. I DEFINITELY DO NOT WANT TO STOP VAPING!!!!! I LOVE VAPING!!! IT'S BEAUTIFUL AMAZING AND DELICIOUS. BUT i have stopped for now, and I will be taking many steps to prevent this issue from arising with me in the future... So i am writing about vaping because i love to vape and have been forced to stop because I am trying to take care of my own health. There is enough information on the internet and i am smart enough to combine this knowleddge to realize that I'm not dying, but that it's most likely an OVER-USE, problem, AGAIN! also, I may have been drinking too much beer, getting dehydrated, dry mouth and vaping, and things of that sort which lead to this and which i will prevent and spread awareness about so nobody else will have to experience this. Thanks for reading!!! i'd be happy to answer any questions, and will keep updating this post as I progress in my fighting this ailment.

    Thrush is a yeast infection.....

Yes, thrush is a yeast infection but different people respond differently to foreign agents entering their body. Everyone's immune system responds differently to foreign substances. Many folks have a sensitivity to PG but most do not....

I think the poster has pondered much on his condition and has reasoned it out fairly well. The poster mentioned over-drinking and a few other things and so these may be large contributing factors as ethyl alcohol is very hard on the immune system.... If you continuously damage your immune system then you will likely get all kinds of problems.... So, it could be a combination of things that the poster is doing.... I am not saying that the problems are caused from vaping but on the other hand I am not saying that they aren't.

Makes sense. Thrush can manifest itself in an overworked immune system.

Yeah, I don't know what the poster is doing (besides vaping) and how much drinking is going on but it seems to me the immune is malfunctioning..... What is causing it to malfunction?? Is it the vaping, the drinking, or a combination of those things? Or, is it something totally unrelated?........ Only the poster can discover these things by experimentation, logic, and reasoning.

The slow healing problem actually went away half a year ago when I stopped drinking excessive amounts of alcohol(I'm a pretty big guy and I've got the European drinking genes so I need to watch it)
I saw a doctor today, he said that it definitely looked like thrush and I've got some prescribed medication for this. I think drinking alcohol combined with vaping added extra stress to my mouth and immune system, but I think especially my can a day habit of Copenhagen was causing quite the thrashing of the mucosa and of my immunity in my throat and mouth. Surprisingly after being on the treatment for less than a day it already feels better! Also, I asked the doc, and he said the irritated skin bump things I thought were blisters in the back of my throat can actually be caused by thrush, not vaping. Overall I'm happy to be getting better. I have ceased drinking and vaping for the time being, I will keep updating as time goes by and see when I feel healthy and may feel comfortable vaping again! I'm also bumping up vitamin C intake and am continuing my vitamin regimen so that immune problems won't persist.

I've been taking the dissolve tablets for about 3-4 days now and it's getting better. I still have these red lumps on my throat from the infection though and it's quite bpthersome. Been Almost 2 weeks without nic at this point I am quite depressed all I want to do is take a fatty rip off the vape but I know it will slow the healing down so I can't!
