Hi.

I've been smoking for 30 years, since I was 13.

I was Christmas shopping last December and saw a mall kiosk selling e-cigs. I didn't talk to them but was intrigued. I looked up ecigs and found this forum. I read and read. Some of the "success stories" brought a tear to my eye and HOPE for myself.

Then, based on information gathered from this forum, I ordered an EGO starter kit from CigNot. While waiting for delivery, I read this forum a lot and watched all of the YouTube videos regarding e smoking. When the EGO arrived, I was ready.

I opened the package, loaded it up and haven't had a cigarette since.

38 days. 762 cigs not smoked. $401.28 not spent on cigarettes. I live in NYC. Cigs are over $12 a pack here.

762 is a big pile of cigarettes. I think of that growing pile whenever I want a cigarette.

Without this forum I would have been lost. I am on the road to a better life thanks to all of the wonderful people here. I've never posted but I feel like I've gotten a huge amount of support.

I thank you and most important, my Mom thanks you!!!!

Congrats Ronan and welcome!!! You know they are trying to ban the sale of them there, right? I know, horrible!! You should tell your story to those that have the power. See this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...gent-nys-outright-sales-ban-agenda-again.html

They probably just want people to keep smoking so they can keep collection $10 a pack (or whatever) in taxes.

Edit: Oh, I see you saw that! Thanks for writing in!

Welcome Ronan, I'm so new here I haven't even received my Riva yet. I'm a Brooklyn boy myself (bay ridge). My family moved to NJ when I was in the seventh grade. I now live in PA for the last 10 years. Nothing brings me more happiness then my memories of sunset park, coney island and yes, I'm that old, Steeplechase Park. Wish you continued success & hope I can do as well. Bob.

You can take the boy outta Brooklyn..
I love the area where you live. My knucklehead friends and I used to camp on the Delaware all the time.
I used to love PA for the cheap cigarettes too! You wouldn't recognize Bklyn, it's all trendy and fancy now.
I'm sure you will have success. It was hard for me in the beginning but not too hard.
