Hello everyone,

Did a LOT of reading on this forum before purchasing the Volt Standard starter kit. I have smoked for too long and really do not desire to quit, so I thought I would try the e-cig. I initially purchased a throw away and it was OK and the Volt is actually pretty close to regular smoking. I have more questions, but will research the forum before posting another redundant one. I use this "user name" White Rabbit and avatar on quite a few other forums, so you might have posted with me before.

Thanks for the quick welcome from everyone. I have only been using the VOLT E-cig for two days, but find I am enjoying this and vaping less than I would normally smoke. Since the wife now lets me use the e-cig in the house, I can take a drag or two, put it down for an hour or more and then take one or two more drags. This seems to satisfy me rather than a whole normal cigarette. After smoking for plus or minus 55 years, I am suprised and happy to maybe have found a better, healthier way to solve the nicotine habit.

Well folks, I have been using Smokeless Image prefilled cartos for the past couple of weeks at 18 mg nic levels and find that I have been getting the traditional sore throat hit. I can't believe this because I have smoked for 56 years heavy at times, and recently very lightly, but never had any sore throat problems. Anyway, I am drinking more liquids, and from forum recommendations I ordered some RY4 liquid from EC Blends at a 50/50 mix at 12 mg nic levels to see if that will lower the hit I have been getting and maybe the sore throat problem.

I love the forum, appreciate the welcomes, and I am looking forward to a "cigarette free" life from now on.

Congrats White Rabbit. Good idea about the 50/ 50 as PG is a known irritant and some are more sensitive to it than others.
