I know the feeling. After discovering that the cig-a-likes did not work for the old lady and I, we decided on a PV under the recommendation of a friend on a similar situation. Went to the only vaping store we know of and purchased 2 Evods. They sold us what would be an Evod starter kit, but individually, 1 battery, 1 tank with atty, 1 generic charger for $29 each. So we paid $60 for what should be a $39 kit. The chargers didn't work after a few days.
Now I know better. I actually know more than the owner of the store. She told me that the replacement 2.5ohm atty is for the Evod tanks and that the 2.2ohm atty is for the larger T3S tanks, and that they are not interchangeable because they are not the same size. (They are). She also said they are brand name Kanger (they are not).
At least the Evod batteries and tanks turned out to be legit Kanger and not ripoffs. The chargers and replacement atty heads were not original and it shows.
Also the hardware prices are almost double the online price. I understand how retail works, so I do not expect a local small retailer to match online prices, but double??? The MVP2 is $75, the EVOD starter kits in a box are $69, and a PT3 is $39.
Online shopping for me from now on.
