Took my PV and a friend out for a night on the town last night. Oddly enough, just by holding it in my hand, some people already seemed to know what it was. When I walked through the bars, I had a habit of holding it up in the air a bit around my shoulder, like we used to hold analogs. Must be the habit from holding analogs up so you wouldn't burn anyone going through the bar. :p

The first person that noticed it was a bouncer/bar back at Pawpurr's bar (we went to Ohio University bars in Athens Ohio). He said "I know what that is, but where did you get it?". Talked to him a little bit and he was very cool. Until he got to the part where he said "They should totally make one of those for weed too!". -rolls eyes-

Accidentally scared a tipsy guy who was standing behind me because he saw "smoke" out of the corner of his eye and was like "What the-?!". He was like "Oh it's ok, I won't tell on you, it just scared me when I saw smoke". I said "It's not a real cig, the bartenders and bouncer are cool with it" and explained a little more to him about it.

At the other various places, a lot of people didn't notice, but several people did. It was nice to get the word out about the PV's, I didn't mind at all. A lot of the time people would say "Is that one of those electronic things?". I have the black 510 with the blue light, so it's obvious that I'm not smoking a real analog if you see me from across the bar. Did that on purpose so it wouldn't cause anyone across the bar to see me and light up a real one.

All in all, seems like most establishments up there are aware of PVs and are cool with them. Some of the places were very busy so I didn't always have time to flag someone down and ask about using it, but nobody ever came up to me and told me to stop. I didn't figure that anyone would up there since the bars are all ran by college students or people that have recently graduated from college. Sometimes the older owners show up at the bars, but I didn't see any last night.

Overall: Widely accepted at a college town like Ohio University. Probably most college towns are aware.
