I vaped publicly on Aug. 28th my 50th Bday on the patio of the most popular micro-brewery in town. The only people who noticed were the waitresses who came over and sat down and tried it. I vape in my car all the time and no one seems to notice. Even sitting next to cops at lights, I figure they are not going to pull over a middle-aged nurse, most know me from my ER days so they know I'm not doing anything illegal. I'm very open about this.

one of the many benefits of being an RN! LEO's know that if they give us a hard time, the next time they come to the ER, their life could be in our hands :)

I openly vaped at a punk rock show last night. Nobody seemed to care much except for one meathead bouncer shined a flashlight on me and told me to ".... that thing out right now". I showed him i wasn't actually "smoking anything, and he lost interest quite quickly. I don't normally vape inside restraunts or bars, but i figured they've got all those fog machines going...why not just make a little fog of my own.

My boss is married to a cop, he says he never tickets RN's, they can hurt him more than they could hurt us! Besides how many stupid drunks in MVC have gotten stupid with you and you flip back to trauma training, use the biggest angiocath you can ....I have used a 14G once and the trusty 16G's are always popular. Not mention making sure there is no blood in the urine, foley please.

My husband vapes everywhere, the bank, in stores, on a cruise etc. Nobody has ever said anything bad to him about it, most people just want to know where they can buy one. The only place here in Austin that we have found will not let you vape inside is the movie theater. I guess they don't want clouds of vapor obstructing anybodies view.

Here's what works for me. Don't hide it, but, don't make promises for it. Let people tell you what they think and tell them "yeah I've heard all kinds of things, this works for me, I quit smoking and I feel better. I know that caffiene is a poison too, somedays it's good for you, somedays it's not". Usually folks smile agree or what not and ask more, or walk away. Of course I train people in sales... it's all about the confidence, if you beleive in a product people will believe in you.

My 2 cents.

I vape in public daily. Oh by the way there is a reason your friend hated Blu. When my coworkers see the billows of vapor I exhale, yeh they ask the same questions. I happily answer all of the questions they have, and remind them not to get a crappy "hey it still looks like a cig" device. 3 people at my work have bought the same device I use. Haven't had a cig since.

My first public vape was two days ago, the first day I got my first Ecig (Tornado). I work for a large company at a warehouse with lots of people there. A few have tried E cigs but none exclusively vape. It bugs me a little because those folks told me that an ecig is no real replacement for a real cigarette. I was lucky and found these forums right away and did about two days worth of research before I decided on my Tornado. Thank you for that. I have actually made a personal goal to convert as many as I can at work. I had many questions and doubters at first, but now that people have seen it their doubt has changed to curiosity. I'm on day 3 now and the vaping experience is getting better as I go and get more use to it. I have no doubts at all that will be a total replacement for analogs for me. And once again, thats to these forums I will be much more educated not only for myself, but my friends and co-workers that are slaves to analogs.
