Hello Everyone! First post for me!

I've been reading all sorts of threads on this forum for the past two days, and I must say that the support and respect you have for each other is delightful!

I found out about e-cigs two days ago and it seems to be a promising solution to help me quit the analogs. I realize that it won't be an easy, spoon-fed, transition. I understand that it's going to take some time to form new habits and that the cravings for analogs won't disappear immediately. My smoking career began in the third grade and has been on and off since then. I've been smoking consistently for about four years now, around a pack a day. This time, however, I don't have it in me to quit. It's sad. Cigarettes have become my best friend, as it were; I'm so loyal to them...even though I know they're trying to kill me.

I digress. The more I've browsed around youtube and this forum, the more daunted I become. There are so many varieties and options to choose from, I'm not really sure what's a good newbie purchase. I'm overthinking it I'm sure, but I wanted to double check with you all. I've decided to go with vapor4life.com. In my cart I have the following:

1 - Vapor King Ultimate Ultimatum Manual Kit
2 - Blank Cartomizers (Pack of 5)
1 - 555 juice 18 mg (5mL)
1 - Coffee juice 18 mg (5mL)
1 - Pineapple Juice 6 mg (5mL)
1 - Doc Pepper Juice 6mg (5mL)

I think I'll be okay on batteries for now. I can use the passthrough in my car and at home (which is where I'll probably do most of my vaping). I decided to go with blank cartomizers instead of filled ones simply because I think it's more economical. Anyway...how does the cart look? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum and the start of your soon to be analog free life!

The Vapor King is a great unit to start with, as its very easy to use. I smoked for longer than you have and perhaps smoked more per day, but I found 18mg to be not enough to get rid of the cravings. You might consider dropping one of the lower bottles for at least one 24mg. Then you'll have it if the others aren't enough instead of having to order more and wait till it arrives to deal with the cravings.

First of all, you picked the right supplier. I started with the 510, invested quite a bit of money, but got tired of all the monkey business very quickly. Most of us have tried other products, and we all wish we would have known about V4L first. This system is just a no brainer, it's very easy to use and so much less messy. Your cart looks good, are you sure you want to go with 6 mg just starting out? I would maybe try a few in 11-24mg. Good luck and let us know how you like it once you get it.

Welcome! I think that looks like you are off to a fine start! I smoked for over half my life around a pack a day and could never quit - even with the patch, lozenges, and gum. This totally did it for me, and I am sure you will quickly fall in love with your new best friend! ;)

I would suggest adding some pre-filled cartos, you can always refill them to help cut down price, but pre-filled cartos are just so good, and there is a bit of a learning curve on filling your own. Might be good to have some pre-filled on hand until you get the knack. If you have any questions, feel free to ask away - we are all here for you!

Sounds like a great start to me. If i'd started out with the VK I wouldn't have wasted a lot of money on trying to get other PVs to do the trick.

I think I read Steve say in a post today something about how he'd do mixed cartomizers with your orders- I'd request in the notes to have them give you a mixed lot of random flavors and strengths for the cartos that come with your kit- just to try a little of everything.

They're also including 10 cartos with kits over $65 right now- that's a really good sampling of different flavors- then you could order what you like in bottles in a future order.

Welcome to the family Dopey!! Your order looks great to me but I do agree that you might as well get prefilled cartos and then refill them after, since you are going to get TWO five packs with your kit anyways. And you might want to add in a car usb adapter if you do not have one if you plan on using your PT in the car.

Honestly it's not much more to buy on sale prefilled cartos just so you can sample new flavors then refill them with the juices you have on hand.
