A friend of mine let me borrow his RSST this week to try out. Wasn't really my cup of tea but it gave me the opportunity to try a build. Used 500 mesh with 30g kanthal. I wanted to get it right around 1.2ohms. first try did a 4/3 wrap on the RSST, perfect 1.3ohm. no hot spots, plooming clouds. I enjoyed it but it wasn't what i was expecting. I guess my expectations were pretty high. I ended up purchasing a IGO-W from Norman Vapes (OKC Vapes) while i was in Norman, OK. brought it home and built a coil with 30g and 1.5mm silica tripled over. 1.1ohm. HOLY SH&T!!! i didn't realize how much flavor i was missing out on when using cartos or a wick system. RIDICULOUS. I got Boba's Bounty in on the same day as the IGO build. OMG. If you havent tried bobas yet from alien Visions........ try it, you wont be disappointed. Anyways that is my story. For those of you who are thinking about getting into rda/rba's. it isn't as hard as it looks to build a good coil with basic skills. Shout out to RIP Trippers, GrimmGreen and PBusardo for all the videos pon building. Made the process easier.
