Hey,
Take it easy.
There is an awesome link (above by tflemmer.)
as to how to make it work. Also they take a while to break in the wicks.
The varying resistance means the coil has not got propper contact with the wick and there could be grounding.
You got that link.
P.S If the wick is not wicking correctly the resistance can also vary. Sometimes it helps to drip some e-liq on the coils while burning. This can also help the oxidization of the coil and wick.

The coil is shorting to the wick. That's why it is jumping down to .9 ohms only firing a portion of the resistance wire from the terminal to the short. Best thing to do is make sure the wick is fully oxidized and pulse it and poke and prod the coils with a blunt syringe or a small screwdriver to work the short out. Check out pbusardo on YouTube he shows how to do it in his aga t2 part 2 vid.

Check the positive and negative connections. Be sure that they are tightened down properly.

Once you have that issue resolved, don't be timid with adjusting the coil assembly. Take a blunt dental tool or whatever you may have available and move the individual coils around until they are all glowing properly.
