Hey, just finished my first ever rba! Not the best result but it works.
IMAG0204.jpg

It's 5-6 wraps with 28G kathal A1 with Ekowool(2mm) folded 3 times. It ended up at 1.4 ohms, were aiming for 1.3 but close enough! I ran it at 12-15watts with my SVD.
I noticed instantly that the flavor was much better than in my nautilus but I'm sure I can make more out of it. However the vapor weren't quiet as good. To me it looks like I didn't use enough ekowool, but I'm not sure.

So what do you guys think I could do to make it better?

Not bad dude! Keep experimenting and youll get it dialed in nice. Like Fisheeboy said, try squeezing the coils together. Get some tweezers, I prefer the ceramic ones, and a small butane torch. Just squeeze the coil in the tweezers and fire the torch on the coils for a few seconds. And do that without the wick in there, obviously. Thread the wick after you install the coil.

Thank you!

I were recomended to wrap it on the ekowool instead of making the coil itself first, especially when using.. ekowool.
Would it be fine to heat it up on a mod instead of using a torch?

Yes you can heat it up on the mod. Press the fire button then squeeze the coil. Do you know what diameter the ekowool is? If its 2mm you can use a 5/64 drill bit to wrap your coil and the ekowool should fit nicely.

Yeah it's 2mm I will for sure try that method with my next coil! But first I'm curious to check out the new one I made while waiting for response with more thread, folded 2 times and with a much tighter coil. Oh'boy this is fun :)

Yes, as long as you make sure to check the resistance/for shorts first.

Yours looks better than my first one lol.

So you guys are experimenting and making your own coil heads?

Yeah, I just started and having a great time doing so!

Here's my second one, keeping the good flavor but I can see some improvement on the vapor production! This time it's at 0,9 ohms.

After a bit more practice I might try out to make a dual one.
Thanks to everyone who helped me out with tips or just general support!
