You need to know that the MVP2 has a hard current output limit of 3 amps. If you use Ohm's law to calculate your minimum resistance, using 11 watts and 3 amps as your known values, you'll discover that 1.2Ω is your lower resistance limit.
Going lower than 1.2Ω is a wasted effort, as you don't have adequate current to support a lower value.

The optimal wire gauge size for a single coil in the 1.2Ω to 1.5Ω range is 28 gauge Kanthal wire. With a 1.6mm (1/16") mandrel, you will produce a single coil with 10 to 12 wraps... about the longest surface area coil you can produce that will fit in most RTA or RDA atomizers.

If you buy a RDA, make sure that it has the AFC (air flow control) option for a single coil. An example in an RDA would be the Origen V2. RTAs typically have only a single air inlet and sometimes multiple (at the coil) outlets. A good single coil RTA, and perhaps the most popular of all time, are the svoemesto kayfun Lite and Kebo R91%.

I've started building recently as well and I've tried several (Fogger 4.1, Orchid V4, Squape and the Erlkonigin)...what I would recommend based solely on experience is something single coil to start. Like a doof, I started on the Fogger which still gives me heck. Both the Squape and Erlkonigin were very easy builds with the Erl providing the better flavor and overall ease to work with. I haven't tried the Kayfun and I think the comments I always hear about limited airflow holds me back. State o' Flux up there has you greatly covered with coiling but I found wicking MUCH easier with either Cellucotton or Koh Gen Do as opposed to cotton balls:

Nice choice. There might be a slight learning curve involved in getting the build perfected, but it doesn't take long at all and once you get it sorted you'll have a very satisfying vape that is easily maintained. I occasionally use my dripper, but my Kayfun is my all day vape. Has been and will be for a long time. When you get it, the forum can help you nail down a good build for your needs pretty quick.

Can someone give me some advice on buying my first RBA. What exactly i would need and any good sites to get it all. I'm thinking of starting to Rebuild but i'm a little over whelmed by all the information. I want the simplest build for a beginner. I'm going to continue to use my MVP 2.0.

Thanks!

I'd suggest the 22mm big dripper with glass tank option.

I am currently using mine on a 22mm deck from a flash-e-vapor because it's just got 2 posts instead of the more common type deck that the bigd comes with.

currently running mine with a 30 gauge 2.6 ohm coil at 10 watts.

the bigd is an rdta; which means it's a dripper, but includes a tank and you press on the tank to drip; so you can drip and drive.

While I like the Kayfun (or Russian 91), I would go with a Lemo or Lemo Drop, as it's just as easy to build (or easier), good quality, lots of airflow (if you want it), and much cheaper. Good luck with whatever you decide on, lots of good info in RBA section here, or on YouTube.

X2

The Lemo is both a Kayfun Killer and a Fogger Killer. No leaky is a big bonus. $35 average and you can own an authentic.
