Alright so I'm looking into a moderately cheap build until I get my hands a little dirty. I'm looking to go with around .8-1.2 ohm build because my buddy's was at .6 but I don't want to go running before I learn how to walk. I'll put the list of the things I'm looking to buy, I'm wanting to go with a Igo-w atomizer with a Fuhattan C.F. mod (Clone of Manhattan) with a Samsung INR 18650-25R 20A (heard it's a good battery for sub-ohm), I'll be buying a Ohm&Volt tester for even more safety (Rather be Safe than missing some body parts)

Just making sure everything will work well together before I buy.

That all looks good, I use the 25R's myself! For the ohm reader, I recommend one from USA ohm meters, as they're quite good and reasonably priced. Do you have wire and wick? For 0.8 to 1.2, I'd use 28ga for single, and 30ga for duals. You can get by with organic cotton, Japanese Cotton/Labo, or Rayon. I'm a big fan of rayon, but if you start with the easy-to-acquire-locally organic cotton it lets you see just how much better rayon is :)

I'm glad you're planning to start slow, nice job! :thumb:

ETA: Oh, you might want to throw in a cheap multi-meter eventually. It's nice for checking the voltage under load, which lets you calculate the wattage you're actually achieving. For example, with a 4.19v charge, my voltage under load (0.275 ohms) was only 3.74v. So while I'm tempted to say that I'm vaping at 4.2*4.2/0.275 ~ 64 watts, it was really more like 3.7*3.7/0.275 ~ 50 watts. That's only possible with a multimeter and not the specialized rigs they sell for vaping. Just something to chew on.

Thanks yea I'll be buying a ELeaf Ohm&Volt Reader, I'm still studying Wicks and Kanthal Sizes but the Organic cotton and the 30g seem to be my choice atm because I am dual building.

I have the Eleaf meter and I find it to be a finicky POS. I keep having to pry the center pin out or it throws off the reading. But I guess for $5 I got what I paid for. Looking into more reliable meters at the moment :2c:

At $15 I would have been ...... rather than annoyed like I am now. I don't go below 0.3ohms on VTC5s so really all I'm looking for from my meter is a ballpark, but it's ridiculous to have to stick my build on my SVD to verify that the meter is working right. Needless to say I wasn't the least bit surprised when I heard the ELeaf iSticks were having regulation issues.

I see efest has come out with a nice little meter that does resistance, voltage, and voltage drop with a built-in rechargeable battery, but there isn't much info on it yet. It's available for $20 from vapordna which is a company I trust to make any problems right.

I'll still recommend USA ohm meters. It's quite literally the only thing they sell, read to 3 placed after the decimal (when under 1 ohm), have an accuracy of 0.018 ohms, to say nothing of the build quality.

I was burned by a $10 meter from Fasttech. The USA meter makes that thing look like it was put together by a complete amateur. It is very well constructed, and does not look or feel cheap at all (especially the wiring). Personally the extra (at most) $6 was worth it, to know my meter will be as good as it gets from a 510 ohm meter.

I also got to use the code 'potatofriday', which is hilarious, for a couple bucks off. Check their FB page to see if any codes are out there (mine should have been expired, but worked anyway).

So I am going through V-apes.com because they seem to have some decent mods for decent prices(Seen them on RiP Trippers YouTube) but their Samsung battery seems oddly fake? It says " High Amps discharge current, great for mech mods and sub-ohm builds as low as 22 ohms " which makes no sense and the fact that the picture doesn't have the text of the battery it's bugging me and that they show little information about the battery.
