So I've been building on the Lemo for about a month now, and want to pick up a dripper for home use. Flavor is definitely more important to me than clouds. I just can't make up my mind.

Lately I've been eyeing the Origen, Derringer, and Aeolus. I'm not sure about how spit back would affect me, but I hear that issue with the Derringer. I think I'm leaning more toward the Origen. The most powerful device in my arsenal is the ipv Mini II 70 W, with Samsung 25R.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I used the Origen V2 clone daily for a year, had the authentic V3 for a month and I absolutely love it. Best praise I can give it is that unless Norbert releases a V4, I'm not really interested in looking at new RDAs any more. That search is over.

It's that good, eh? I've been considering an Origen V3 but it seems like it might be somewhat of a PITA to build on. Is it?

I have a Mutation X, Veritas and a Derringer now, and thus far, my favorite is the Derringer. It will spit of over dripped, but once you get a feel for how much it will hold, it's a great little atty. Fits great on top of a SMPL, so likely also its similar counterparts (Praxis, 4Nine, etc.)

The Derringer and Veritas are both mildly challenging to build on, due to the Veritas' odd deck and the Derringer's small post holes, but they also don't take much getting used to. Best of luck with your decision. I also have heard great things about the Freakshow mini and the Troll. Just some thoughts for you to consider.

FYI, a dripper "for home use" is a lot like buying porn "for the plotlines." It doesn't really work out. You'll be a convert faster than you think

Nope, dead simple. It's made for verticals. It's easier to show than explain:

That's a Clapton coil built exactly the same as I build with regular or twisted wire. I wrap on a drill bit, then stand the drill bit upright tucked right into the side of the deck opening so the negative leg is as close as possible to the screw. I prefer to feed the negative leg between the negative screw and positive post as you see above, rather than the other way around - tighter connection. It's slightly fiddly adjusting/compressing the coil in that position compared to a traditional RDA with horizontals, but you learn pretty quick. To wick, you just drop the twisted end of the cotton through from the top, pull it out the bottom with tweezers, cut off the top and bottom, and you're done.

The main thing I love about it is the draw - second largest hole on this (largest hole on the V2) is exactly where I like it, really smooth, really quiet. If you need wide open airflow this may not be for you, but restricted draw kinda goes hand in hand with great flavor.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. This has been a tough decision, and is overdue at this point.

You're probably right socalsailor, might be a PITA at work though...

I drip at work daily, and to avoid leaks, my mod sits on my desk normally, and if I have to go out and about, I leave my wicks relatively dry unless I'm actively vaping and shut the airflow before I drop it in my pocket.

I really haven't had any issues, but YMMV.

Get a REO, then dripping becomes squonking and it's not a hassle when out.
