If you make sure not squonk onto a hot coil should not be a big problem. I used to that a lot, liked the sound of the hiss But this can cook the juice and then excess drains back into the bottle, MY bottle used to go from clear to nice dark amber quickly. I usually top off at about 1/2 to 1/3 left in the bottle. After weeks of topping off my liquid gets a nice light amber

Thanks for this tip...I didn't know this and guilty as charged liking to hear the sound of this hiss Didn't even think about that cooking up the juice and it draining back down.
