Um... Chad had this to say about the 750mah version....

Quote:
Actually, the 750mA LiFePo4 are not rated for the current required to fire or atomizers, the link above is more suited for vaping needs. The LiFePo4 batteries are not protected as well.

The website says they are protected....(these are the batts I use and I got them from the same official Canadian SB supplier selling the SB)... but ya same size batt at 900mAh, interesting.

I don't doubt it. But god knows Chad knows alot more about batteries than I do. I accidently ended up buying the right ones. Wonder what the difference is. And I mean practical difference. Like do the 750mah versions misfire sometimes, or not burn the juice as hot... that kind of thing.

I can't compare (haven't tried the 900 mAh), but the 750 mAh work beautifully...

Hello, I have a SB with 801 and 510 atomizers. But neither of them work good with cartriges (I keep them nice and wet) I get little vapor and a very nasty burt taste. My 801 works good only when dripping, but not with cartriges, and my 510 kind a works only when I drip. I dripp 3 to 5 dropps into the atomizer and I only get good 6 to 7 puffs and then a nasty burt taste:( I also cut the bottom of the 510 cartriges and I get little vapor and a nasty taste. I like the 801 better when dripping only. Do u know why my atomizers are not working with the cartriges and have u tried the cartomizers with the SB? Thank you for your help

I can only say with experience from 510/dripping SB at 6v. I assume you are using the 6v option? You can't really use cartridges at 6v - it'll burn the filler, only use dripping with cut down blank carts. At 6v you need that atty wet - 4-5 drops, soon as soon as the vape gets dry or slightly burnt you need to drip again (it's a fine line, drip too much and yer gonna flood - which can also cause poor performance, just clean the connections with some paper towel - don't blow the atty out, waste of juice, vape a bit to suck the juice in and clean the excess). It's subjective too... I can use up the juice in 5 huge drags, but you don't need to drag so long at 6v. 3-4 sec for great vapour and hit. I usually get 10 to 20 puffs before I re-drip, depending how much and how long I'm hitting it.

I did order some cartomizers and an adapter to try out... haven't arrived yet.

I'm still fairly noobish too, anyone wanna way in on this go for it...

I have one set on the 750 mAH and one set of the 900 mAH and find no noticeable difference between the two sets.

That surprises me, mwahle. I would think at the very least the 900mah would last longer.

I've actually used the BFD mod and it didn't burn @ 6v. It can't keep up with wicking if you're hitting it heavy tho'. I keep a few full for on the road and just try putting the damn thing down here & again!

Very, Very true.

I'm a noob too, but I've been told alot of good things about 6v vaping with cartos. I'm gonna order some soon and try them out. We'll see.

They may last a bit longer, but I usually put them in the charger before the charge is depleted.

Make sure you have the correct adaptor for the cartomizers. (I think it is a 510 battery to a KR808d-1/green cig/901).

Unprotected batts in a 6v device is like carrying around an unreliable pipe bomb. Ya just never know if it's gonna go off or not.

It's not the bang that's gonna get you either. I'll see if I can find an old like from Candlepower forums about a guy who had a flashlight with CR123s go up. hurt his foot from the blast, but what got him hospitalized was the organ damage from the hydrofluoric acid that blasted into his foot.

I am waiting,, any day it should arrive, on my black SB (Smooth). Fortunately, I happened to catch AS when they had them. Funny, from the picture they had online of the "Smooth" looked like it was black with gold trim. I inquired, and was told it was the SB but in black, with silver (chrome or whatever) trim. Still think, and hoping for a gold/brass plated version of the SB. If everything I have been reading about the SB is true, I'll want one for every occasion. Definately, gold/brass, or black with gold/brass trim would be very sweet, at least that's my take. Feedback or demand to Altsmoke.com would be greatly appreciated, if interested.

Anyway, can't wait for my SB (Smooth). Should arrive by the end of the week. I am pretty certain I won't be dissapointed. But,, just to be ahead of the game, I was looking at batts. for 6 Volt. I couldn't really justify an extra $40 for the CR123A's and charger just to try it, then discovered my ol' 35mm Canon Rebel takes the same batteries. I rarely use it, but still love it since I am used to and make awsome pics with it so I hang onto the thing. Funny, but I don't really use it hardly at all since everytime I take it out I have to spend at least $20 in batteries (CR123's) to use it. Fortunately, I can now justify the expendature. So, when it comes down to it,, I have two devices I can really get some maximum enjoyment out of...

Just a thought,
Sundance

Well they arrived a couple days ago and I gotta say I'm pretty impressed. So first impressions... (using Silver Bullet at 6v)

Pro's:

Don't have to constantly drip
They don't leak
For some juices the flavour is way more intense
Not a great throat hit, but I tend toward low nic
Long lasting, I had one last half a day without having to top-up and it stayed consistent vapour/TH wise
You CAN re-use them, and they are cheap*
They are not as difficult to refill as some people say

Con's

They get HOT - but you can fix this if you leave the rubber condom on and cut a small hole in the centre on the end you vape out of (credit to another forum member, can't recall the name)
Less thoat hit then dripping with low nic juice
using the adapter/cartomizer with a standard 3.7 510 (or SB at 3.7) far inferior to regualr 510 atty - haven't tried an KR808 batty, so can't comment on that.
You need an adapter*

*Costlier for Canadians, have to order adapter and cartomizers from the US (or China, but I didn't go that route).
*If you get filled cartomizers small chance customs might frown on this

I'm leaning towards getting another SB, one for dedicated dripping and one for on the go with cartomizers...

Interested in other poeple's experience with using cartomizers at 6v....

I own a black silver bullet. First and only PV at the moment. I don't think I'll end up buying another, actually. This one suits me fine. Wake up, put in a charged battery and stick yesterdays in the charger, vape continually throughout the day, refilling my ZFM carts when needed, and do the same thing the next day. It's working well for me so far.
