Ok after a week of research, checking out every web site i can find and seeing a million reviews i have come to the conclusion i have learned NOTHING lol to much info to choke down without a decent point of reference. As i advised a another newbie early the best way to learn is to jump in.

So a little bit ago i bought a eGo-t starter kit, will be picking it up tomorrow. Now some like the eGo some dont but i think this will be a decent start. I dont think this is a ending point. In fact if vaping and me mesh well i can see a number of rigs some tanks other not. In fact i have my eye of a custom built saber that would be sweet.

But there really is so much info out there and i know so little i dont even know what i need to ask. But i know that reading all day wont help as much as five mins of a rig so my feet are wet at least. Wish me luck.

Anyway i just wanted to share that with everyone.

Hey Jerry B, WElcome to ECF...the ego or ego-t is a good starter..I started with the ego-t and I still use it some but don't use the tanks anymore.

I use the boge 2.0 cartos and some of the ego mega dual coil cartos on it and it still works very well..

I bought a go-go which I like better than the go but I still use the ego everyday..

So good choice to get started with and Happy Vaping..as always we are here to help each other so ask any questions you like..

Congrats Jerry! I think you're off to a good start. Since most people end up trying out a few different things over time, like cartos, attys and tanks, starting with and eGo/510 platform lets you experiment while still using everything you bought - no $ wasted! Now you get to start trying juices! Good luck & keep vapin!

Hey Jerry. You did it! Congratulations. I don't think you'll let go of your eGo :) +1 for Wendall's advice of having some cartomizers around. When you need a cig and your tank is acting finicky you can twist on a carto and vape. Easy peasy. Very cool. You have two systems in one. Let us know how it's going, will ya? Vape happy.

Congrats, Jerry, I think you'll be pretty happy with the eGo. It uses a 510/306 connection so it can be used with Atomizers, Cartomizers, and Tankomizers in standard as well as "low resistance", so there's a lot of room to experiment and find something you really like.

If you haven't already, I would suggest trying some different flavors and possibly different nicotine strengths. Most of us find after vaping for a while that your tastes may change in ways you might not expect. I was never a big fan of menthol cigarettes, for example, but I've found that I really like adding menthol to fruit and other flavors to make them taste/feel "cold". Keep in mind that EVERY aspect of vaping is customizable: You can make it LOOK like whatever you want, you can make it TASTE like whatever you want, and you make it FEEL like whatever you want. If you find that you are still craving cigarettes, don't beat yourself up over it, but try to figure out what you're "missing" and adjust accordingly! :D

You will love the ego.. I have the Tank as well but it sits in a drawer. i didn't like the tank went to cartos and never looked back.
The eGo is a great system. get used to purchasing many more. When I think I have found the perfect PV I see another and its like I gotta have that one too..

Grats on the switch, 5 month analog free here.

Ya did good! The eGo is one hellava platform; sooooo many options/configurations.

I would recommend ya also get a 306 atty and 306 drip tip for sampling juices. Once you find a fav flav, then load a carto (I luv the eMDCCs).

Best o' luck to ya!

I too started with a 510 but quickly went to the eGo. I gave up the analogs but wasn't satisfied until I found the low resistance atty/cartos.

Best of Luck!

so your saying i can buy a few attachments and turn the T into a cart/cartimizer? wow thats cool

Yup! You can just pop on a regular 510 or 306 atomizer or a 510 cartomizer (and drip tip) and you're good to go. You can usually buy an "eGo Cone" if you prefer how that looks (and it changes the draw a bit) for about $4. The Tankomizer that comes with the eGo-T works well and is nice and easy to refill, but I never liked how it seemed to give a "plastic" taste. I really like the pure flavor and convenience of using an atomizer with a drip tip (just a few drops of your favorite e-liquid directly on the atomizer, and then add more when the flavor starts to drop off) more than using cartomizers, but I'm a pretty fan of the amount of vapor and flavor you can get with Dual Coil Cartomizers...if I'm going to use a carto, it's generally going to be a DCC.

VaporCastStore is running a sale this weekend while they are away at VaperCon. You can get a pack of 5 dual coil cartomizers for only $8, and 10ml bottles of juice (and they've got some GREAT flavors, IMO) for $4...They also have the 1000mAh eGo battery with USB Passthru (it charges via a USB port on the bottom so you can vape while its still charging) on sale for $18.

VaporCast Store

The above is exactly what I'm vaping as I type this, but just remember that orders won't get sent out until at least 10/24. ;)
