1st off Im totally new to vaping and glad i found this site as it has tons of info and im glad to have learned so much so fast on one site.
i went ahead and bought the joye510 kit w manual non led, some extra catridges and a 10ml of liquid to try, i know ill need more liquid lol. after reading tons of post seems like the 510 batteries are kinda crappy and the best thing to do is get the ego batteries or the xl ego batteries and charger since they seem to last longer after reading this a few dozen times and they will work as a 510 replacement battery.
i figure i should buy 2 of the ego batterys and a ego charger for now but dont see a charger for sale by itself.
where can i buy the charger by itself?

i dont want to buy 5 of the 510 batteries if they dont last long if im better of buying the ego batteries and charger.
does this make sense or should i stick with the 510 batteries? thanks

OK
Liberty Flights is going to have the EGO for $40 this Friday, FYI. I would buy one period just in case of an eventual ban, if nothing else. I have 1 backup kit already and may buy 1 more - just in case.

The Ego is a big battery 510, basically. The standard 510 is a 180 mah battery, standard eGO is 650. Considering your 510 batteries won't last forever anyhow I would simply buy the kit on sale - cheaper than buying pieces. You get 2 atomizers with a kit and those are $8 each as it is.

This way you will have your 510 for "out and about", if you like, and the eGO for main use...

You can buy the eGo Fast USB charger by itself. Do a search for "eGo charger" at litecigusa.net. Their search function works really well. They also have 900mAh eGo batteries for a low price. The 900mAh battery will last 9 hours with constant vaping (or about 38.5% longer than the 650mAh eGo battery -- if that's a concern for you).

+1 here with the good Doctor. i started with a 510 kit. it served it's purpose and works well, but if i had the choice of the eGo back then, i'd go back in time and tell myself to buy it! i've used my eGo for about 6 months and it is well worth the money. you will replace standard 510 batts eventually. don't spend good money after bad, get the eGo kit now. they use the same atomizers so they're interchangeable. you WILL NEED SUPPLIES.... you are not wasting money if you do this...YOU'RE INVESTING. Happy Vaping!!!

While the standard 510 is a good little unit, it does have its limitations. Battery life being the main one, and voltage drop-off the other. I bought a 510 and it got me off the analogs, for that it was worth the expense. Moving on to the eGo kept me off them for good. If you're interested in upgrading, consider just buying an eGo or Riva starter kit. You'll get 2 batt's, atty's, and a charger for the price of ordering the batt's and charger separately. The main drawback, at least in my opinion, is that you can't seem to find many suppliers selling the 900mah or larger batt's in kit form. If you're looking to upgrade, you might as well go for those as they'll offer another 25% increase in power. I get 12 hours or more out of a charge where I'd get around 8 to 10 from a 650mah.

Thanks for the fast replys!

so the attys and carts for the 510 fit the ego right !?

Im sure the fda and us gov Will try and find a way to get rid of ecigs since its loosing them money in taxes.

I know i will need supplies and since its alot less $ and heathyier than buying real cigs i know its worth the money in the long run.
thanks for the replys!

I second DocWyatt. Check out Libertyflights on friday for $40 ego kits. 2 complete ecigs (2 batteries, 2 attys and 2 cones)with a wide range of colors. Now If I can just figure out if I want to go with standard black or Red... or Blue... or maybe Green?

Yeah but if you'll notice the only eGo listed in the special sale section is the plain steel. No colors if you want to save a few bucks!

For the question at hand, I would just try to track down a 900mAh eGo battery, which is a little bit longer, for even more battery life than the standard 650mAh ego. The 900mAh batteries can be had for $17-20.

Depending on if you're vaping at home or on the go, you could also consider a passthrough type batt where you can power directly from a USB port.

I also started with the Joye 510 and was very happy so once I decided vaping was for me I knew I needed some more batteries. I next added a couple Joye 510 mega batts (280 mah) and was perfectly ok with that as they do last longer between charges than the standard 510 batts and use the same charger as my reg 510 batts. While still happy with that setup I did want some batteries that had a longer charge for those times I really had no option of being near a charger for the entire day so I looked into adding a couple ego batteries and a charger. The same night I was doing my research on where to purchase those Liberty Flights put up a 39.99 Ego kit sale and I knew that was a really good deal for what I would get so I purchased a kit. Very happy with that choice. I still continue to use my 510 batts at times and other times I use my Ego batts. If you can get a Ego Kit from Libery Flights on Friday it is a good deal for what you need to give you some added battery time/atties/charger.
