Hello all!

I have been happily using my 510 for a little while now and decided to look into ways to improve my vaping experience. After reading reviews and watching vids I decided to take a swing at dripping with my 510.

I removed the filler from a standard 510 cart and dripped three drops directly on the atomizer and began vaping as before. The first couple drags were amazing - more flavor, more vapor and an overall more enjoyable vape. That is until about the 3rd drag when the flavor started becoming more bland. Another drag or two and my throat is burning and feels like inhaling something burning (I'm assuming this is the atty going dry?).

From the videos I have seen and the information I have read I thought 3 drops would have lasted much longer - some people even saying a good 15-20 mins. I have checked and nothing is leaking out. Am I doing something wrong here? Have I overlooked some noobie detail? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated! I really am liking the vapor from dripping, but if I have to refill 4-5 times for a 'smoke break' it may be more hassle than it's worth :(

Thank you all!

- Woody

If it's any consolation I am having the same problem with one of my 306 attys. It's like the juice just disappears and I get the burning taste. Truly never happened to me before like this And the juice is not in the atty - I can blow it out and it's bone dry. The juice is just vaping very quickly like it's 1/2 alcohol or something..

Although I do really like these two juices I made at Gourmet Vapor so maybe I am vaping them longer/harder than I think I am. I also need to get out a magnifying glass and see if LR or ohms are marked on this atty. I have never bought an LR 306 yet but I had just swapped to this one so I could clean my other 306 atty and only this one is having the problem.

I've run into the same thing. Haven't quite figured out what kind of juices just don't vape as long yet. Still experimenting...

On dripping a 510-or Ego, 3 good full flavor hits is about correct. Its just the nature of the beast. Want more hits then fill the filters with about 10 drops that last 12-15 good hits, but not as full flavored. I drip myself, generally 2 drops..I found 3-4 makes the atty messy. This give me 3 solid full flavor hits. Good vapor production. If at home, by the PC..i find dripping is relatively easy, but if in a car or so, I just fill a filter with 10 drops and that last a good 30 minute trip of vaping.
Driping is by far the most fulfilling method with e cigs. Just best flavor, hit, vapor. I tried the tanks, filters, and near every method and always resort back to the old dripping method.

As far as 'breaking in' the atty, how long does that normally take? Does anyone here drip a 510 that *doesn't* suck down e-liquid?
a LR atty eats even more juice. And nobody has a special 510 atty, they are all the same. figure 2 drops 3 hits.
if you want the best flavor, throat hit, and vapor..then just get use to it. if you want weaker flavor, etc..then go with the filters, of cartimizers.

Well thank you all for the confirmation :) At least I know it's not just me! I will continue this wonderful dripping habit, and enjoying these BWB juices getting tastier and tastier. I also think I'm going to put in an order from Super T Manufacturing today for a nice stainless drip tip. It would make things much easier than using an empty cart and having to pull it out every time I need to drip. On top of that I won't have to worry about BPA's in something I will be sticking in my mouth every day.

Edit: Also, BestLion, congrats! I see you're coming up on a year w/o analog tobacco! That's a very nice milestone :toast:

Excellent choice on the Super-T tips (I have 6 of them). There's none better.

That's great to hear! I *just* placed an order for the standard round-tip version. I really can't wait to get it! I also switched back to my de-wicked and de-bridged atty. Now this is vaping :)

Super T are really nice indeed. It will take a while to get to you. But well worth the wait. I drip too sometimes I get 5-7 nice hits sometimes 3 it differs. I used to drip while I drive. Not so safe at 80mph. Now that I got a T atty, no more dripping. If I reallly wanted to drip Id do it at a stop light. So while I drive I got 2 fully assembled infernos in my shirt pocket. Just in case I feel like switching flavors. I going to get another t-atty soon for a back up.

Well, I got mine yesterday! Three days from order to vaping isn't bad in my book at all ;) I am using it right now and it gives a very nice weight and balance to my 510. It feels much better letting it hang out of my mouth, and the round-tip version is very smooth and comfortable. This is a great drip-tip!

From the future version of "The Vaper's Dictionary" (Moderators, we need one of these... community maintained)
Dripping: 3 drops in atomizer, 5 - 10 puffs (depending on e-juice, atomizer model and voltage). Repeat.

Advantages: Better taste. No messing with filler, filling, tanks, tea bags, springs, syringes, CE-73, MAPs, gadgets, fads, .... etc. No burnt fillers. Better hits. No "carto taste".
Disadvantages: Pain in the .... while driving. Not for the lazy types that can't be bothered to pull a cart off and drip 3 drops. They should use drip tips instead.

To each their own (with opinions) :p
