I went to lunch with a bunch of friends (we all used to work together and get together every few months for lunch).

We went to on the border, and as most of us are either smokers or ex smokers (seems to be pretty common in the über tech geek set, must be something to do with the stress), I just had to break out my APC Mobile Powerpack -> Manual Switched USB Home Hackery -> Generic Dura 510 and home brewed carts.

Everybody was duly impressed. Nobody else in the restaurant even noticed, even the waitress as she was refilling my tea.

I gotta say, there was a certain guilty pleasure in vaping away right in front of the clearly posted no smoking sign.

On a side note, at work our CEO was the one who turned me on to this whole thing. He got one over xmas, and one of the first orders of business when we got back from NY holiday was to change the company bylaws making ecig's totally legal on and IN the company campus.

We had a board meeting last week, and I had to stop in to talk about some work stuff, and it was an absolute riot walking into the board room puffing away, only to see the CEO on the other end of the table doing the same.

Woot.

I will admit, every time I'm at Hooters watching a Cowboy game, and I'm sitting there puffing away, I take an odd pleasure at the nasty stares i get from the "regular" smokers who have to go outside to take a break.

It's also fun to explain it to every new manager that it is NOT a cigarette.

Although, I haven't spotted any other e-smokers in Plano/Dallas, except the people I have "CONVERTED"!!! :D

Nice to see I'm not COMPLETELY alone. Besides, I always have the voices. :O
