Hey guys just thought that I would finally introduce myself and see if I could get some advice. I am 27 years old and I live in Overland Park KS. I started smoking later and lighter than most here but by 25 I was at a pack of camel menthols about every two days nothing major but it was time for a change. I am a die hard Chiefs fan and an android enthusiast and now added vaping to my list of obsessions.
I first tried egigs in summer of 2011 with a vapor for life starter kit that I came to enjoy but I hated the carts and the flavor and power was pretty sad for the $100 investment. I was soon back to analogs and about 6 months later I looked back into ecigs. After lots of forum reading (thanks!) I decided in January that I was going to invest in a kgo kit. This was mostly due to the fact that they were like an ego but with higher voltage and for $50 bucks if I failed no big loss. Well this was my downfall. I loved my kgo and became a dripper and still havent even considered a carto. Unlike most I fell in love with the tedious act of dripping and the flavor and hit from my kgos had me thinking that there was nothing better.
Fast forward a few months and many hours of reading here at ecf and I found myself running out of battery power and carting both batteries for my kgo around and still not making it through the day. After more strenuous research I decided that my answer was the highly suggested silver bullet. Magic! All day vape, even better flavor and throat hit. To all who suggested the silver bullet I thank you it is fabulously built and is my ever present companion prompting many crude jibes from my analog smoking friends. I use mostly LR atomizers that are bridged since I had a bad experience with hot spitting juice out of some bridgeless attys and 24mg juice because I like the throat hit. I have now become sort of a vape pitch man now since the SB prompts many questions. I have convinced a few friends to pick up some kgo kits and the seem to like them and use them but they also still use analogs. I think that they just aren't as ready to drop the stinkies as I was.
Now for the questions. I find myself wanting to take the next step and thought that I would post it up for advice. Variable voltage is the obvious next step but I find myself wavering over my options. This is probably due to knowing a little too much about my options but still not having the trial and error experience that most of you went through. The obvious elephant in the room is the Provari which I am leaning towards because of its suggested nature. I also am interested in the Darwin but can't get my head around an internal battery since there is nothing worse than running out of power when you just need a vape. A tube mod Darwin I think would be my vaping nirvana but it is only a pipe dream. Any suggestions would be welcome in my next step journey. My SB is fabulous but I think that bumping up my voltage would give me that little extra vapor and hit that I have come to find from a fresh battery and brand new atty. I find that my vape satisfaction has been decreasing as I try to prolong the life of my attys and think that a variable set up might let me jump the voltage to increase that as performance declines.
I also just took a new job that requires a commute of about 45mins and am looking into tanks for the road but I am reluctant because of my dripping leanings. The reactor tank has me interested and the opinion of drippers who have tried it would be welcome. Rebuildable genesis type attys are also something I'm thinking about but I am not sure that I am ready for that yet.
I apologize for the lengthy post but I hope that I can get some advice that will push me to make the next step and maybe my story and journey can help other "noobs" along the way. I appreciate the courtesy and experience of the pros here on this forum and hope to continue to enjoy vaping and the great community that has sprung up around it.

I have only been vaping for less than 2 months, but I've gone through drip/carts/cartotank/vision clearomiser/vivi nova/ and now rebuildable atomizers (DID and Penelope) and I would recommend anyone sticking with vaping just go for it. Penelope is very easy to set up and pretty awesome. If you don't think you are ready for genesis type, go for a Penelope. I seriously got it set up and vape away in about 10 minutes. Beside that, I personally prefer the ego v3 clearomizer. you can buy prebuilt heads to replace or wick and coil them yourself. I think they taste pretty good and maintain a sleek non tank style on my ego twists for easy carry around. (they won't fit provari without adaptor)

Provari is also having clearance on their blem chrome units. If you don't mind, that's a pretty good deal. I picked up one for my 2nd provari. Good to have it around. I will receive it tomorrow so we'll see if the blemish is obvious.

Welcome to ECF! Great call on the SB. I love mine and vape it daily as part of my permanent rotation. Take the plunge and get a Provari. I bought one a month after I started vaping and nothing that I have come across so far comes close to it. Every Provari owner I've met absolutely loves theirs. It is well-worth the extra few bucks if top-end performance and unwavering luxury is what you're looking for.

Everything you've mentioned are excellent APV's. I think it mostly comes down to personal preference at this point. If you're a tube type person, get the Provari. If you're a tube type person who likes to tinker some, get the Zen from House of Hybrids (it's got the rebuildable with the tank already on it.) or you can get the Provari and just the Zen rebuildable atty/tank. If you're a box mod person, the Darwin would be my first choice. Something you haven't mentioned, so don't know if you realize it or not, but you could just add a Kick to that SB you already have.

Happy shopping and Welcome to ECF!

Thanks guys I appreciate the help. I'm thinking that I will just take the plunge with a provari since I have batteries for it. I didn't know that Zen had a pv. I thought that he just did the attys. Well maybe I will get on that waiting list and in twenty years maybe I will have one. Thanks again everyone.
