So I got the A7 rba from empire mods on Thursday and my wire today. The stock coil was vapeable. But very gross flavor. So my wire came in today and I gave it a go. I got 36ga kanthal and for my first couple tries used cotton balls rolled up to make the wick. First I had some hot spots so I adjusted the wire and wick. Got them to go away and took a hit. Little to no vapor and that same gross burning taste the stock wick had.

I went and got some cheese cloth and gave it another go. Same deal same gross taste my wick is well saturated but no go. I'm about to give up I've been at it for 2 hours.

never dealt with that atty before but I would suggest an airflow problem. As is, not enough air getting to the coil, that would create little vapor and cause the juice to burn at the wick instead of getting "taken away" with the vapor.

Looks like it's air feed is from the 510 connector. I would make sure no air passages are blocked and make sure that yer mod isn't blocking airflow when screwed down.

That is a "simpler" type of atomizer, the only thing I can see causing it would be an air issue.....just a thought tho....

It should break in pretty quickly....just vape through it unless it's just nasty. I used cheesecloth for a little while....tastes sorta "cotton-y." I really like the #10 Aunt Lydia's bamboo (viscose) yarn....if you're around a Michael's or Hobby Lobby, maybe pick up some. I also enjoy cotton (100%) embroidery thread. There's an entire thread about it on here....I'll see if I can find it.

This is L-O-N-G, but full of good information on wicking materials for rebuildables. Good luck.
