First time using a carto.

I filled the carto up until the juice was oozing out of the bottom holes.. Stuck it into the tank and now it's very "juicy" sounding and gurgly. Is this normal? Should I just dry burn until it's not as juicy sounding? I'm so frustrated haha

on a freshly primed carto its somewhat normal. you should never ever dry burn a carto nor even attempt it even when its wet. cartos can get burned pretty quick if they dont have proper airflow and your inhale actually helps the juice wick correctly. if i overfilled the carto before putting it in my tanks i usually blow out the excess into a tissue first, install it in the tank, and then let it rest for a minute while the internal pressure regulates itself.

I will dig up Baditudes carto tutorial. I think there are a few things going on here, but if you watch his tutorial and break the "bad habits" with carto filling early on, you will have excellent success with cartos. They are great, easy, no-fuss. You just have to get the hang of it and it is a small easy learning curve. Way easier than a lot of other stuff on the market. Hang tight....we will get this fixed for ya!

If it is a standard 510 carto then put 23 drops in it when you first fill it. Put the drops around the edges and not down the center. Do this slowly, a few drops at a time and let the juice absorb before you add more. 23 drops, no more, no less. Top off the same way when the cotton starts to look dry.
