yesterday/last night was my first time out vaping in my local pubs in derbyshire the first pub i went in i spoke to the manager just thought it would be polite to ask if it was ok to use my e-cig in there he said yes no problem as long as no smoke comes out of it i said no theres no smoke but it does emit a vapour.
he looked at me confused as hell so i said it isnt subject to the the smoking ban and he said ahh thats ok then go for it
i was kind of suprised it was the first time he had heard of such a thing.
the next pub i know the staff and didnt bother asking and they didnt even flinch when they saw me using it even though it has a red l.e.d
the attention it draws though does get a little tiresome from a few dirty looks to everybody just interested and wanting to know how it works and quite a few people wanting to have a go (im glad i took a spare battery with me)
people are genuinely fascinated by them and seem amazed its allowed in a pub and even more amazed when i tell them ryanair sell them on flights so you can vape on the flight.
in the next pub the landlady spotted me vaping and set off towards me with a look of thunder on her face so i just knocked on the table with it to show it wasnt real and she just laughed and said oh its one of those things! and left me to it.
i think i must of heard at least 20 people say thats cool! im getting one!!
so all in all it was an entirely positive experience no problems whatsoever apart from friends wanting a go constantly because they dont want to go outside (its gettin cold up in these derbyshire hills already)
im relived it was so well received by every pub i went in great stuff!!
