First try with AGI... hmmm

Well, glad it wasn't as much as a difficult process as I was thinking although my success wasn't that great. I had a hard time getting all my coils to light up red hot. It was either the top coil burning hot, or dimly lit top 2 or medium hot 3 coils, but it takes awhile for them to get hot. I tinkered and tinkered, but not too much success getting them red hot like the top coil. I was glad to see I am comfortable trying to do it over and over, but just didn't want to waste all of my wire trying to rewrap. I am getting a stuffiness to it, and probably not a lot of smoke. I am running at 1.8 to 1.9 ohms and currently vaping at 4.2 on my provari mini. I guess it is going to take a lot of trial and error before I reap the benefits of an RBA setup, but glad I at least tackled it. I am guessing I may not be happy with the hole size possibly. I was reading to leave the fill hole open, but that would leave possibility of leaks, right? Can't have that, but it may help the draw. May have to only use the RBA at home if it's a nice difference. Well glad to be in the family. I am underwhelmed, but know I need to give it some time. I think I have a 4/3 coi setup.

You can pulse the wick as much as you like but I would really focus on getting a nice even glow...preferably starting in the middle of the coil and working its way out. The top wrap glowing hotter than the others is causing your bad flavor. Use a jewellers screwdriver or a syringe tip (anything small and metal really) to poke and prod the coils until they glow evenly. If you haven't already check out pbusardo on YouTube specifically his AGA T part 2 vid. He goes over 3 different wrapping methods and shows how to work out hot spots

Welcome to the finicky world of RBAs friend. Keeping it at home till you get it set up right is where I'm at still, but there is hope, as many have luck traveling with gennies (after they figure it out). Also check eHuman's blog and actually try following the steps as you do them. zen's video is good for adjusting coils:

This video is for the ZaP but the coil adjustment segment is applicable to any SS wick:
