My drill's battery ran out of steam before I twisted this 26AWG as much as I would have liked. Figured I'd use it anyway on my CLT. Meters out at .23ohm and vapes fairly well. Certainly no ground being broken. Main reason I'm posting is because this is the first really decent coil picture I've taken with my iPhone. Had to share my "not crappy as usual" picture.

Next time twist till the wire breaks. Best flavor I get is from twisted 28g. Trried twisted 24g, just too big of a coil though for my likes. I have a love affair with twisted coils

i would have twisted until it broke but my drill's battery died and I wasn't motivated enough to charge it back up... so, I used it as is.

I Just build a twisted pair of 28 ga Kanthal for a vertical coil to try out in my Veritas. Coil wrapped came to 0.7 ohms tossed it in got the glow perfect. Then wicked it. Threw it on my Tebeco manhattan clone and blam oh the flavor. Really brings out the deep notes in the flavors. Chucks some nice vapor as well. I twisted the wire on my dremel with some pulsing at 5000 rpm talk about a tight twist. Heated up the new wire with a butane torch to kill some of the spring and I think it is the nicest coil I ever wrapped. Twist till the break and if you used long enough wire you can tidy up by clipping of any wire that gets wavy after it breaks.

Looks more like braided then twisted.
You can twist it manually you know.

Manually? That sounds too much like work to me. :) Next one I do will be twisted until it breaks assuming I can remember to put the drill batteries on the charger. Just got my Kanthal ribbon in the mail today. May try the twisted ribbon thing.
