Well I got an xhale o2 from 7-11 to try the e-cig for the first time. It was good. The taste was not the most robust but it was there and I quit smoking analogs for 3 weeks. The third week I had gone through all the carts and had refilled them with smokey treats PG 18 mg pina colada. After I had refilled all four of the carts twice it had been a month and a funny burnt taste came up. After reading the forums I thought I must need it cleaned. Cleaned with alcohol water and dried on top of a lightbulb and taste still there now worse. I had dripped in several drops on the atty and loaded a fresh filled cart after cleaning so I was sure I had not dry burned it bad (to check its "dryness" I did dry puff it twice and no sizzle so I thought I would be good to go). So I did a coke cleaning and no help. Now to get this unit to vape without the burnt plastic/soldering taste and smell the atty has to be flooded to the point that it sounds like I'm suckin on a .... and when it is like that I have to suck hard to activate the unit and it most times just pulls juice right through. I got to say I am hooked on the vape but this really made me sad. I am going to hook it up with a 510 soon and get back to the ecig cuz I can get parts local if I need them. I did feel better and breathed better and really enjoy the flavors you can get/make. Tried a few of tasty puff's stuff and really dig the melon.

Welcome to the forums and grats on 3 weeks without the analogs! :)

There is a learning curve with vaping in general and atty's in particular; too dry and they're burnt - too wet and they're flooded. I'm not familiar with the xhale model, but I do have the 510's around and use the atty's for my eGo, 510 and 905 (with an adapter). Between cart fillings I usually just blow through the atty to remove any leftover juice and clean the threads. Haven't lost one yet! (knocks wood) lol

Good luck to you!

A good unit will make all the difference. Just make sure you keep some spare parts and juice around so you don't end up with nothing to vape. You're lucky to have a supplier close, that makes things easier. The 510 is a good little workhorse PV. The only thing most of us had a problem with was battery life. If you can live with that it'll do you good though.

Thanks for all your encouragement and info! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

K folks it's gone down. Made an order to route66vapor.com . Got their dual 510 starter kit. Ordered Thursday morning and got it Saturday. In the between time I gleaned that cake supply stores carry lorann flavor oil. Hooked it up with strawberry, watermelon, and cherry (they have them all at elizabeths cake supply in Bedford, TX). Picked up a few 3ml and 10 ml eye drop bottles w/safety caps, a 1 ml syringe, and a 5 ml syringe from a compound pharmacy down the street for $8. BTW, do not expect most pharmacies to do this. I kinda know the pharmacist and he still gave me a little bit of a hard time until I explained what I was doing. I had got 10ml of ecigexpress 48mg vg unflavored from a fella at a smoke shop here for $5, and a bottle of Glycerin USP from wal-mart for $3.21 (I double checked JB at perfectelectroniccigarette and his mixing videos on youtube and Glycerin anhydrous is VG).

All together this adventure has cost $100 with the xhale starter kit, the 510 starter kit, and supplies to make juice. I got to say the 510 whoops the hell outta the xhaleo2. After I emptied and cleaned the marlboro flavored carts (hey look I tried em and after vaping out the pg protecting the atty and getting a good taste I dumped em. Tasted like a 3 month old pack that got lost in the trunk of the car) and refilled 3 with my 8mg mix (Of course I dilluted the 48mg, I don't want a headache for a year) of each of my flavors. 13-16 drops in each cart and I was ready for action and it was worth it. Much more flavor out of this 510 than xhaleo2 with the same juice. Alot more vapor, many times too much vapor and I would choke and cough. I guess there is alot more heat in this 510 atty cuz it vapes more juice on the same draw as the xhaleo2. This is an auto BTW and the "issues" I have read w/ autos I have not found with this one. I played several under 100 Hz tones as loud as my subs would put out, Played music as loud if not louder than a club, and tapped it on the table and it never activated. It will activate if the wind is equal on the tip. Face the tip forward out the car window and it will. Turn it to the side or back and it doesn't. The only "issue" I had was waiting the 8 hours the instructions say to first charge. Went on all today until 7pm Sunday with one batt and I let the other charge the 8 hours.

Folks at church even noticed I didn't smell like smoke again today and few asked if I quit again and I got to be the "e-cig ambassador". Only one lady who has cancer had a problem and after I pointed out the doctors have probably pumped more PG in her than I could vape in a year, and her oncologist backed me up (we all go to the same church), she backed off. This has been a good experience today and I hope this does not land back where the xhaleo2 did. Oh yeah, sorry about the long post but I had to let everyone know cuz this is my only support for quitting cigarettes and my co-workers hate me for the ecig cuz I got a "raise" cuz my productivity has gone up alot in the last month. I went into a different bracket for commissions cuz I am at my desk answering calls and making orders instead of smoking every couple of hours.

I will say one thing good about the xhale 02... I ran out of the higher strength juice a couple of days ago and I actually bought a pack of cigarettes because I was really feeling the withdraw so I started smoking one and well I have 19 left in the pack and a new xhale02 which seems much worse than the disposable 510 I got for my buddy to try it out... So if your buddy goes through half your juice and you order 2 days late the xhale 02 has it's place in the world.

P.S. Gratz on the 510 they are worlds above.

does anyone know if the xhale 02 charger size is the same as the 510? i started off with xhale and i want to get a joye510 battery now. i have all the other components to complete it. i tried to plug a 510 atty in the xhale charger (unplugged of course) and it fits perfectly.

Same thing happened to me,I saved my receipt, told the manager i tasted burnt wires, and he opened a new one, gave me a new atty, back in business.

i pull out the little filler holder out of the cart and discard... clean the cart and the atty and drip it!!!!soo much better then refilling the carts or buying new ones from 7-11... only the manager and the owners of the 7-11's really know what you are looking for anyways... the clerks are baffled when you ask them about it... got me fustrated expecially when I got a dead unit and needed to exchange (twice it happend). But now I got two complete kits and I just drip them. Soon they will be back ups when my ego comes in.

anyways 100 times better vapor and taste when you drip juice right onto the atty.. justwatch out cause you dont wanna get juice in the battery...

I've been using an Xhale O2 pretty steadily since the beginning of the year. I think the juice it comes with is pretty nasty, and the carts don't refill as well as 510's, but it's performed reasonably well for the price. I also purchased a Smart Smoke disposable model from a local smoke shop for $15. That turned out to be a 510 battery with cartos. It was great (and the juice tasted much better) and I loved it until I dropped it hard the other day and it stopped working slowly and was dead by the end of the night. Now I'm down to the Xhale O2 alone and it's dying as well. Somehow the juice started leaking THROUGH the battery, coming out the tip. Now it's only turning on briefly and haltingly and I can barely get a hit at all. My Riva's are coming today and I'm going nuts waiting for them, and I'll still have to charge them! Good thing I threw out the pack of analogs.

you shouldnt have to charge the riva when it gets in. they come almost fully charged.

i started with the xhaleO2 as well. it was my "gateway" ecig, if you will. i then moved on to the joye 510 and saw that it was like night and day. never really looked back at the xhale. so i gave it away. was doing fine with the joye 510 till i noticed that i had to bring my charger with me everywhere i went. because the batteries didnt last that long they way i vape. so i moved up to the riva 510, reluctantly i might add because of the shape. but i soon got over the shape. and all my friends that started on something similar (skinny cigarette style PV's) have moved on to eGo and riva style PV's. no complaints yet. and if they havent totally quit the analogs, they have at least cut down on them by 75% or more.

Cart stuffing, espcially the poly fill kind, gets crappy after a while - boggy and clumpy and doesn't wick well any more. Also, if you use the atty to push the inner juice cart back in then you may be compressing the stuffing down where it won't contact the atty well.

If you think your atty is OK and battery is OK, then try putting blue foam in your carts instead, I think the 3-piece Njoy has carts similar in size and design to M401 carts (but not the same). Search Youtube for: M401 blue foam (note - I have to cut a tiny bit wider than he did to mostly keep it in place, but just slightly or it will wick badly. It goes in the little juice cup that is inside the mouthpiece)

Cheapest way to buy a bit of blue foam is to buy the 75 cents 510 size precut blue foam at strictlyejuice.com then cut them down for your carts. The more expensive way is to buy a whole pack of Marineland Rite-Size U Foam Sleeve $8 from the aquarium dept at Petsmart.

I have been using the same blue foam in an M401 cart for over a month. If it gets too gunky w/ juice I just wash it occasionally and pat dry. Holds its shape, easy to take in and out.

Others have mentioned the M401 in this thread and that appears to be what the Xhale 02 is. If the atomizer is beyond hope, why not buy one or two new ones to use with your Xhale batteries as a backup? Even though the 510 is much more to your liking, you may find that you enjoy going back to the flavor of the M401 once in awhile.
