So I just started my intrest in vaping a few weeks ago when I saw a kiosk in the local mall selling "white Cloud" brand e-cig starter kits. They wanted $120-$250 a kit so I cam home to research.

I ended up ordering an e-9 (808d-2 clone) from a chinese supplier. While waiting for that to arrive (its still not here thanks to chinese new year) I stumbled on this forum. Well a couple days of reading got me to anxious to wait for the E-9 to arrive so off to radio shack I went to buy parts to contruct my first mod, a "PUCK".

Well my attomizers came today and I finished contruction of the PUCK and had(am having) my first vaping experience as I type this. Most enjoyable, especially with the feeling that I built it myself ! Forgive the exces glue on the front I was kind of in a hurry to finish it,

There's more of us Ohioans joining the vaping crowd all the time. I'm not too far away from you over in Kent, maybe 40 miles. Theres a few from Akron, Ravenna and Canton here on the boards too.

Boxmods are so easy to make, they work quite well, and they're cheap. You've probably spoiled yourself early. What batteries are you using in it? It's hard to find lithium-ion batteries locally. I've thought about just running one on AA batteries if I had to, 3 of 'em would give me around 4 volts or more.

After using your mod for a while, you may not care much for your e-9 when it arrives.

Yeah I kinda thought I wouldnt care for the e-9 before I even made the PUCK. But I had already ordered it before I found ECF. Oh well chalk it up to a lesson learned. Im sure I'll end up tinkering around and building a smaller/more convienent portable mod soon anyway. Im using 4 NimH AAA's in the mod now.

it's always so much more rewarding to reap the benefits of your own labors.....I shoot competition pistol matches...and although I own a few pre-assembled pistols, nothing makes feel as much pride as shooting the one I built with my own two hands....that feeling alone has to be worth more than anything you can buy

I think I will be running over to the electronics store tomorrow and putting some old r/c model parts back into action (I am hoping I don't set myself on fire in the process)

And that will be quite enough, you noobs building mods, have the decency to get your post
count up enough to go over to the modders forum!! :)

I'm waiting for you to design the next generation of PV mods, that vape well, don't leak,
don't fall apart or crack, last all day, don't taste burnt ever.
I've got my credit card ready, don't let me down.

And WELCOME to ECF!
