Hello all,

Been a smoker for a couple years, pack a day camel smoker. Got introduced to vaping and finally took the dive and asked the guy behind the counter at my local vape shop what to get. He hooked me up with a Aspire BDC and the Vision Spinner II battery. Been loving this so far, and would love to get insight or some tips on taking care of this thing.:vapor:

congrats on quitting, it's entirely doable huh? I thought when I quit one minute smoking the next walking out with a vape and NOT having a headache, or irritable, and all those other lovely nicotine withdrawl symptoms an hour later was FANTASTIC! *lol*

there's some stuff like wiping the crud out of the connector part of your battery where the tank meets, washing your tank out coils, there's a beginner's guide 'round here somewhere, do a search on it..read read read, and YouTube is your friend!!!

Hello, Sam Kruse . . . Welcome to the ECF community.

Thank you! They started me off on a 24, they said it's kind of high, but they said with what I used to smoke(pack of camel filters a day), and that i've been smoking more than 5 years, they said it was a good start.

I've officially spent my first 24 hours without a cigarette since I started smoking! :toast:

Hi, Sam, welcome to ECF and to vaping. You didn't say, but hopefully you're putting the cigs down now - only a couple years under your belt of tobacco smoking, so if you haven't quit, QUIT NOW before it's harmed you and while it may still be easy!!

You've got a good setup to start with; now get a backup set! And read, read, read on here - that's a vaper's rite-of-passage, lol!! Oh, and don't start buying up a lot of stuff until you HAVE done the reading/research/learning!!

I smoked for 47 years and didn't think I'd ever be able to quit; however, it's now been almost a year since I smoked a cig, and I've only missed it a few times for a few minutes in all that time!

My best to you in this endeavor.

P.S. I see you were busy typing while I was! 5 years, huh? Still not a seriously long time. Starting at 24 is okay, you'll know if it's too high and can drop down. Just don't try to drop down on the nic level too fast and make it harder for yourself.

Welcome Sam. How much have you been vaping so far? 1 to 2 ml per day?
If you are interested in dropping your nic level, one way is to keep two tanks, one with the higher strength for occassional use only.

You will need replacement atomizer heads; don't toss em; they can be cleaned and maybe rebuilt and/or rewicked.
Depends on how much you vape; if yuo don't vape alot then it might just be easier to keep replacing heads.

I have gone through what I believe to be a little over 1ml in 20 hours. Hard to tell, as the 5ml container has no capacity markings, and I am unsure of the capacity of my setup.

I filled my vape when I got it yesterday, and just had to refill from getting a little low before I left for work this morning, and it left the e-juice container about half-full. I may step down one nic level, because some throat hits have been just a little too much(was told this was normal when switching cold turkey from cigs). Thanks y'all for the support!

About the atomizer heads, are those known as coils as well? Because the guy at my shop told me I will have to replace those every once in a while.

You may also want to try higher vg juice as the pg is more harsh and some people have bad reactions to it - sore throat, rashes, all kinds of crazy stuff.
