Hello,

My order arrived so i'm vaping for the first time today.
I allready found out what i ordered was'nt that smart and another better model is already on the way.( i want my first experiences are good ones).

Today the mini arrived, so i charged the battery and started vaping....
I find the taste of the delivered cartridges being very "chemical".
Is this normal in the beginning?

The vaping itself i like alot, with a good taste i think i can go a long way.

Tomorrow my second order being an ego ( should be better from what i read) will arrive.
I ordered two different liquids with it.

Can anybody tell me what would be a good liquid for someone smoking about 20-25 sigarettes a day and changing to vaping?
Should i get cartomizers to get a better experience?

Thanks for your time.

You should take some primer puffs to get rid of the primer fluid out of the atty but don't inhale that cause it taste nasty....
I have an Ego too and lov'n it....
I've smoked 10-15 cigs a day and 18mg nic works for me.....
For me i use Clearomizers(clear tanks with wick and atomizer..but no fillers)...it works great...you just have to experiment with the stuff to see which suits you...thats what i did....still going to try out more new liquids and other products from different vendors..

Ego is a great unit, I think you'll really enjoy it. You can do a lot with the eGo batteries, so just experiment and see what you like: cartridges, drip tip, cartomizers, clearomizers, map tank, eGo tank system, vapemate, LR atomizers, LR 306 atomizers....more!

As for what liquid to use, that's where the most experimenting will be done -- people don't always agree on the flavors or PG/VG bases etc, but here's some general guidelines:

* most vapers use 24mg e-liquid
* most vapers use about 3ml per day
* most vapers like a mix of 80%PG and 20%VG

*for more throat hit: more PG, higher nicotine levels, LR atomizers, certain flavors like menthol/cinnamon/clove
*for less throat hit: more VG, lower nicotine levels, mellow creamy flavors

Good luck! :)

What kind of cigarettes? If you are smoking lights or ultralights you might want lower nicotine. I was a lights smoker and did fine on 18mg. And menthol or regular? I smoked regular and everyone's different but I found Turkish blends have a strong slightly pungent nutty flavor that reminded me of a freshly opened pack. I use Backwoods Brew Casablanca (a complex Turkish blend) and FreedomSmokeUSA Desert Ship (a stronger plainer blend and I would change it up with their Chocolate, Vanilla or Vanilla Tahity, oRYental 4 to add sweetness). I usually get a ratio around 70pg/30vg - enough VG so my tongue didn't get sore from the nicotine, but not too much so there was still good TH and flavor.

Also - the juices that come in the prefilled carts of 3-pieces are usually 100% Chinese PG juice and 100% PG lets through the most of nicotine's harshness. Try some PG/VG blends in various tobacco flavors. FYI 555 is nutty almond vanilla tobacco and RY4 is caramel vanilla tobacco, and some are sweet and some are not (just so you know what those are). For tobacco juices I recommend FreedomSmokeUSA and Backwoods Brew.

And this is important - you can't go by just the flavor. Your tongue can only taste sweet, salty, bitter, sour and umami (msg). You mainly taste cigs because their bathe you in their smoke (which also contains some flavoring like cocoa, honey or brown sugar, licorice). Ecigs do not bathe you in vapor - you have to let your nose have some - try letting a bit escape your mouth so your nose can catch it on the inhale (or at least exhale through your nose). You don't have to do it every drag but often enough to get the aroma.

Get a drip tip and try dripping. Try all the diff. ways to vape. Vaping is awesome. I also use ego style e-cig. I got the inferno. Those ego style battery lasts a while before need recharge.

I'll try the dripping but need good solutions for "on the road". Guess dripping ain't that easy when on the road or at work.
For now i ordered the starterkit and two bottles liquid (any tips on taste's i should try are still welcome).

The shop i shopped at was out of cartomizers but this is something i will try for sure.

Still vaping the mini cig delivered yesterday (i wanted something resembling a cigarette) it has a hard draw, the taste of the cartridges aren't all that great, and very short battery life. (e-health e-cigarette)

But i'm expecting the ego tomorrow looking forward to it...

Dripping on road is what I do. I line e-cig at top of steering wheel wait for a nice straight road drip real quick. Use peripheral vision to see lines on the left side. I admit it is dangerous. DO so at own risk. I guess so far I have been lucky. No crashes, no records. Watch I get a ticket tomorrow.

Got that ticket?

Love my eGo. Like you I started with a "bad" PV but even with that I knew this was the way to go. I too smoked about 20 - 30 cigs a day and started with 18mg nic and that was not working for me. I stepped it up to 24mg and that seemed to do the trick but I also got some 30-36mg nic and wound up using that from time to time when the cravings got REAL bad. I think nic level is something you have to "play" with a bit at first. After a few weeks I no longer needed the heavy nic and plan on stepping back to the 18mg and eventually 0mg. Good luck and I think you'll be happy with the eGo.
