Well I am pleased that I am now officially 1 week off analog's and happily vaping! I have a couple of questions about my KR808D-1. I got the Clearomizers and the Kanger Horizontal Cartomizers in black. Well I am a bit disappointed with both tbh. The problem I had with the clearomizer that I was using on my passthrough is it literally opened up at the bottom and gets this weird moisture stuck at the top between the stopper and the mouthpiece.. not too happy about that.. they are great to fill and neat that it's clear but yeah wasn't too happy about it falling apart! I love the cartomizers which I have properly been filling thanks to the abundance of youtube videos I have watched.. Filling it with syring method. The only problem I have with the black horizontal cart's that I got is they are a sticker! The seam started to peel on mine and my husbands peeled right off. Do they not make any that are not stickered? Does anyone know of cartomizers that I can use on my KR808D-1 that are stainless steel look to them not being a sticker? I was hoping to get them from a Canadian vendor but will buy from the US if I have to. Anyone have any suggestions. I just dont want a cheap look to my PV and stickers drive me crazy. Input would be appreciated! :))

From what i know they are all stickered from anywhere. These cartomizer are kind of designed and priced to be disposable to start with thou. A solution for u for it would be to stick at drip tip on top of it instead of using the plug. That should solve the sticker falling off issue as long as your not filling these cartos the condom way, which i personally think is not the correct way to fill these. I'm sure they can make the stainless version ( they do that for 510 ones that are designed to go into tanks).

Altou the heat transfered to your mouth without the sticker might be a little bit to much, same goes for the issue of when its cold in Canada, not to sure if you gonna like it to much when your mouth is glued to the stainless steel carto because its cold lol.

If your interested in trying it I think some people sell the non punched 510 cartos in stainless steel, you can get that and a 808-510 adapter to test it out. Personally I dont think i want to carry any bare metal cartos for people to put there mouth on for now, especially during the winter =)

First of all congrats on your first week!!

I also have a KR808, and have many carts on the go with various juices. The Black Horizontal Cartomizers that I have received for both my 808 and my 510's that I purchased all are stickered as well, however I have never had any issues of the stickers coming off.

@Della Cirque Thank you so much ! =)
@Song Yes I totally understand they are disposable but for syringe method of refilling how long should I expect them to last typically? Do any standard drip tips fit in them? Also being new to the PV world lol if I get the adapter what is a non punched 510? I know the 510 part but what is a non punched? hee hee sorry for my ignorance. BTW I did get alot of different opinions for refilling but after seeing one video from someone on this forum on what a waste it is for the Condom method and also how messy it is I decided on the syringe or when I'm in a hurry dripping slowly down the side lol. I love love love vaping and just want to get the best of the best. I'm sure I will get into other devices and will make the transition but not sure even what I can modify on my Kanger too .. just a little overwhelming.

@OntarioLady Thank you so much! Hmm just seemed odd both my husband and mine both started peeling. I am using a paperclip to pop off the rubber tip and using a syringe to refill. I am refilling once a day. I'm wondering now if I am doing something wrong but I'm being especially careful like a true n00b lol Where do you get your carto's from? I bought my horizontals from canvape and they as a supplier are awesome! Very helpful but don't see any other colours other than the black.
Oh also I forgot to mention I'm in Windsor (@Song) so it doesn't get too cold here.. not often anyway lol Don't think metal will be freezing on my lips but I can imagine how painful that could be!! lol

My standard 510 drip tips fit nicely in them with no issues. I'm getting about 7 refills to each. One of my choice ways to refill are from the top, with the rubber cap off, block the hole carefully with a toothpick (don't go down to far) then drip right in and wait for it to soak in, remove the toothpick, replace the white top, blow out into a tissue there not usually much, wipe then put the condoms back on and your ready to go.

I get mine from canvape as well, they are the best!! I know they are growing their inventory so finger's crossed Tom and Adam remember us ladies want more then the basic black hint hint boys ;)

Again congrats on getting into the vaping sceen btw. Most 510s are non punched, just some of them are to fit into tanks ( usually the stainless steel ones).

Canvape actually carries a 510 dual coil low resistance stainless steel 510 xl carto right now Smoktech Dual Coil Cartomizer 5 Pack Stainless, but on second thought since its for a 808d battery, i strongly suggest against it, these dual coil low resistance kinda drain a lot of power and would probably kill your batteries ( Not recommended on battery under 1000mah, your 808d-1 is probably 280mah).

The syringe method is fine for filling it, how long a carto last really depends on you and the quality of the carto, some of them are hit or miss unfortunatly. But if u take care of it and makes sure that its always wet when u vape ( fill it up if it start giving less vapor) it should last at least 5-10 refills or more, I usually throw my cartos away once the taste start going off.

As for the 808d-1, i think its best not to modify it with a adapter for now, just stick with a 808d-1 carto on it and maybe just use a 510 drip tip on top. I think that will solve your pealing problem

As for been new to vaping, we have all been there, this is what this forum is for after all =)

More stainless would just be nice. More then anything I wanted a Blue battery. So I covered one of my eGo Riva's with automotive grade vinyl sticker in a solid blue colour. Looks great :) on to the test with the nail stickers :) There are plenty of thread's on this forum that talk about "Girlifying" our PV's :)

For the 808 to 510 adapters, I haven't found one that will work with the Auto 808 batteries. The incoming air slips through the 510 threads and fails to activate the air switch in the 808.

My favorite mouth tip for the Auto 808's are the Bloog ones. Being a tasteless durable rubber I can hold my e-cig in my mouth hands free, great for driving, doing laundry... HappyVaper has them at a great price

Someone posted these in the new member forum, IKV MEGA KR-808 Cartomizer Stainless 3.0 looks like they are out of the 2 ohm ones. So yeah, they hold more juice, but they're pretty expensive. Might be worth giving a try, the extra juice capacity definitely interests me. I use a volt kr808, they make good cartos, but they do have black stickers. Might want to check out bloog too, they also have stickers, but you can at least get different colors. Happyvaper carries them

About your problem with the clearomizers, i think thats just condensation, i get the same with drip tips. I've accidentally poured it in my mouth while vaping laying down, was kind of nasty.. On those clearos, the draw was very tight for me, i didnt really like it. A more serious problem i had with them, is that once that water built up, i found it going down the air tube, and onto my battery, which could ruin a auto battery. So now i only use those with manual batterys.

When I use a 510 carto for my tank I use a lighter and gently warm the sticker at the seam, it will lift slightly and the heat is enough to conduct to the rest of the metal. Grab the lifted seam and pull steadily, most times there is little to no glue left on the steel cylinder.

The 808 to 510 adaptors I got (I believe from Happy Vaper) work on the 808 auto battery but they tend to push the battery connector down a little too much so if/when you go back to an 808 carto you might have to tap the end of the battery on something to unstick it.

Congrats on your first week! That is a huge step as all of us ex-smokers well know. Re the Kangers, I got mine from Canadian Electronic Vapors and (after re-checking them now) I cannot see any sign of a sticker at all. These are in black and they have a real nice feel to them. In fact, I kind of like to run my fingers up and down them - they just feel so nice! That probably makes me sound like some kind of pervert. :D But they definitely are not 'stickered'. Again, congrats and, take it from me, this is the best place to go for information and help!
