So I got an email from a vendor showing they now sell this Castle Long Reserve e-juice. It is marketed as the pinnacle of flavor sophisication, however it is quite a steep price in my mind. At 37.50 for 30ml I'm wondering if it is worth it. Here's a description copied from the s_ite that sells it...
Presenting the long awaited release of Castle Long Reserve, Edition IV! The ultimate in decadence and sophistication, this is one of the most highly acclaimed and highly sought after e-liquids in the entire industry.
five pawns Castle Long Reserve is a heavenly blend of toasted coconut, roasted almond, brown sugar, and two different vanilla flavors (Madagascar vanilla bean and French vanilla), Kentucky bourbon, and charred oak.

Is it true that it is that sought after and acclaimed?

In a word: no.

You may love it however. Have you tried the normal Castle Long to get an idea of whether you'll like it?
I think Five Pawns are vastly over rated, as do many others, but that's not to say you won't like them or love them as others do.
Creating artificial scarcity does increase the perceived value of a product.

It does taste like dry bourbon with some vanilla, a woody note, and a hint of sweetness (maybe). So if you like the sound of that why not give it a go?

I'd say it's worth it.

To me, their flavors are a Yes Yes, or a Wow -- but not for me. None were -- ick!

Castle Long Reserve is the only one I bought after trying several at a B&M, and I would buy it again. At the price, it will never be an all day vape for me, but a treat now and again. To me the copies and even their cheaper version are not the same, or close enough, for the savings.

To me, CLR is really good and defiantly better and different than the regular Castle Long. It's a occasionally treat for me with the price though--I still have some left from last year's bottle. I think Five Pawns did spend times in creating and making their eliquid and the reserve is truly special.

I hate doing this but... I was told by a B&M Owner that carried Five Pawns along with other "premium" juices and his exact words were "cat piss". I was curious about it the same way you are so I inquired since he carries FP. I have not tried it so this is second hand and I most likely won't try it as I only like 2 of their flavors. Sorry to be a downer.

Edit: I apologize for this post about the Castle Long reserve. My conversation with the shop owner was about Black Flag Fallen. Again, this was a second hand opinion.

Is it worth the money? Depends on who you ask. Is it worth it to me? You bet!!!
I'm on my 7th bottle from last batch (still have 2 left) and will be purchasing 10 or more from the current batch some time this week. Sure; the juice is a bit pricey and I'm sure they could dial down the packaging/marketing budgets and lower the price on the juice to make it more accessible.
As far as flavor... I've had people try it and love it; I've had people try it and almost puke... So the only way you can be sure if you'll like it will be by trying it.

Wanted to love last years offering, still have about a third of the bottle left. Something about it just hits me wrong. Not sure if it's the toasted coconut or what. Just a funky twang of an aftertaste. This is having thought "oh it will get better, I'll just put this over here and wait it out a little longer!"

I have been a fan boy of 5 P for awhile now, but that being said since I started DIY I have bought very little vendor juice anywhere. One of the last was BFF and yes
the vape tastes great and I like that part of it but the exhale smell is more like polecat piss smell than I can stand, it is a outside, garge vape now once in a while.

Have tried all 5pawns flavors and hadn't liked any of them with the gear they had to taste with.

My B&M guy talked me into tryout he castle long with his fear and it was awesome. I love Castle Long and the reserve for a holiday treat. I put 50% pure VG in mine and use a Herakles sub tank at 40 watts.

It is BY FAR the best tasting juice I have tried, in over 2 years! I say it depends on the atomizer you are using. I buy about a bottle of CL per month, sometimes 2 [emoji13]
