I just recently purchased two liquids from them and I was wondering has anyone steeped this juice after they purchased it??? And did the taste become more enhanced after a longer steep... How long more from the date did you steep it??? What was your method of steeping??? And did you just leave it in the tube to steep??

Purchased mine tonight date says dec 13 and I haven't opened it yet because I would like it to age a little longer and want to kno a way of steeping that works with this juice

I have bottles of Absolute Pin and Queenside that I received around Thanksgiving and are dated sometime in October. (I can't check the date because I'm at work right now) I only vape those two occasionally so they have a little age on them.

I don't store them in the tube but I do keep them away from bright light and I keep them at room temperature with the caps on. As of about 10 days ago, the Absolute Pin tasted and performed exactly the same as the first day I vaped it. I just vaped some of the Queenside last weekend and I don't know if it was just a bad vaping day or if the liquid actually did change. It tasted the same (very good) but the throat hit seemed to have increased substantially. It's 18mg nicotine but it felt like 24mg. I never had that problem with Queenside until last weekend. I don't know what happened there but I was kind of disappointed because I wasn't able to enjoy it as much with the stronger throat hit.

I also vape Bowden's Mate on a regular basis but it never has much time to steep so I cannot comment on that one. All I know is that I love it.

Someone once mentioned on this forum that if you don't try your liquids fresh you will never know if steeping made a difference or not. Wiser words were never written.:)

Mine is dated 12/01/13 and it tastes great. This doesn't seem like the steeping type of juice. I really don't see it getting any better.

I got my sample box today, they're all labeled Dec 1st as well.

I tried Gambit. Very interesting! It's not "apple pie", it feels like it needs to steep more, I get hints of apple, and pie, and a few other things. Not unpleasant though, it's almost a butter rum taste, there's something "alcohol" in there as well. Very nice, very mellow, like a really well aged, expensive scotch. This is also the most aromatic of any juice I've used, the room has a very pleasant smell right now, that's very reminiscent of something I can't put my finger on.

I'm very impressed with the packaging, and the sample bottles are wonderful, small, glass, with working drippers with a perfect tip! (I put my ProTank Mini in as a size comparison, they are really tiny bottles!) 2014-01-10 19.40.14.jpg

I've never had to steep Five Pawns as they are great out of the bottle. I did take a break from Grandmaster and let it sit for a few days and the peanut butter flavor intensified. The house smelled like someone baked some peanut butter cookies. I agree with Gambit I don't get apple pie at all but mostly pie crust and very creamy vape. Overall fantastic juices IMO.

Gotta agree. I just did some more, and the pie crust is really there, and now a hint of vanilla. I'm using a 510 dripping atty on a spinner, which is usually good for bringing out the flavor, and changing the volts doesn't seem to be doing much. I don't have enough to blow on a carto tank, I'm curious what this would do in one. I'm gonna try it on the SiD now. Ah, okay, at 8 watts, there's the apple, VERY faint - and a whole lot smoother overall. 9 watts goes back to crust and vanilla. 8.5 is more vanilla, for the first time some cream. 10 goes right to burned. Okay, this is delicate. I'm going to have to spend some time with this one.

Not too sure about delicate tho. I usually drip my juices at sub ohm and the better juices like FP never gunk up the coils or wicks. I'm at 25+ watts usually. I may have to mix some gambit with apple flavoring and experiment. It's going to get expensive if it sucks tho. :vapor:

Gambit holds up to high power really well. It is one of the few juices I turn the power up on. I suspect it is his atty that is the problem. The apple pie is in there... it just doesn't show itself all the time for me.

I love everything Five Pawns does except Bowden's Mate. Oh, it was terrible. :( That was with an eGo and a PT2 mini though; I just got a Provari and an RDA so I just broke out the sample pack and I'm going to try it again.

(ETA: Okay, it's better. I still don't love it, but it's significantly better. :) )

(ETA Again: Changed my mind. I love it!)

I guess I could rebuild the Kangers to try them, but I'm low on cartos and there's really not enough liquid here for that - I got 24mg for the samples, so I really don't want to try them on my IGO-W. The dripper is brand new, and I've always had excellent flavor from them. If I like all the flavors, I can see ordering another sample box at 6mg for the IGO.

I get caramel, pie crust, and vanilla most of the time but every once in awhile the best apple pie I have ever tasted pops out.

Yep. I think my tastebuds and brain just needed to sort it all out. It's there now, at 7.5 it's even better! It's got the mouthfeel of apple pie and ice cream, without the coldness of the ice cream and heat of the pie. It's not strong, it's...wide. If that makes any sense. I'm very impressed with this liquid, and like it a lot.

I had the same experience so I sat here shaking the heck out of the bottle. Didn't help as the apple pie for me is on and off. It's still one of my favorite dessert vapes.

I absolutely love Gambit but one thing I have noticed about is that it is not a very good ADV. The flavor is so full that after about four hours of vaping my taste buds completely stop working and I cannot taste it anymore from flavor overload. I have to switch flavors for a few hours to be able to taste it again.
