You must have been holding your mouth wrong, I had no issues with any of my STMs outside of getting the OG rba head cap open. Was so happy when they released the new rbas.

I don't think I've had any leaks traced to the orings. It's always been not enough wick or wick not shoved into the right place.
Now TFV4, yeah, plenty of oring issues, bad seats for orings and wick problems.

Yeah the tfv4 rbas were a pita. The only one I could get to work was the single coil. It usually started leaking at the third refill. Had no problems with the t3 coils.

Thanks I'll definitely look into the Dead Rabbit. I'm not completely sold on squonkers yet. Durability is a concern with my butterfingers. I do like the way the pulse bf looks though, and the price isn't bad at all!

Very intriguing. I'll definitely take a closer look at this squonking technology.
The Pulse is the toughest device I have ever had. It is unregulated though. I would get some practice building on a regulated device first or there is always the pulse 80. It is close to the same size.

Welcome to ECF! 5 weeks to go... Maybe some decent vape shop there could build an RDA you purchase, to keep you vaping something?

not to de rail but @Skunk! did you find any issues regarding voltage drop on the Pulse BF? ty
I know it has a bit of voltage drop but I have never had any issues. I would suggest using 20700s. It is kind of weak with 18650s at least it was with 25Rs.

Well, if you can make it the rest of the time that's great. If you feel yourself in danger of smoking, by all that's uh, holy (unless you know yourself well and how you "quit") I've found that every quit is different, so if you have a good one going, "outrageous" prices wouldn't deter me from buying some vape gear, even really terrible dreadful not long lasting vape gear like an ego style battery and some cheap coils and juice.

However, it most certainly is up to you. I personally would not smoke for 5 weeks and come home expecting all to be hunky dory but if you can do that, with or without cigarettes, well, do what you know you CAN do etc.

Best of luck,

Anna

At first I was really against RDAs and Squonkers because I thought they seemed super inconvenient and technical, but I'm warming up to them. I would definitely consider one. Some RDAs also look really durable which is a huge plus for me. Do you use a dripper on the go? Where do you keep your e-juice bottle? How much do you carry?
Welcome and glad you joined.
RDA's are bullet proof and dependable. I use deep well RDA's. Deep wells are like mini tanks and give me the best taste available. If I'm traveling, I add a FT slip ring (wide rubber band) to slide over the RDA air holes and a cork/rubber plug or 510 carto condom over the drip tip -- no leakage. The only thing that can go wrong is that can happen (spare coils and wicks take near zero luggage space) is my coil may become broken while I'm are replacing a clean wick.
I use deep well RDA's (Magma, Origen V1 & V3 ) which hold a mil or more of juice and last me, 45 min. to an hour or more before refilling (2.0+ ohm single coil).
Where do you keep your e-juice bottle? Zippered sun glass carrying case. Also room for an extra RDA or two. Can attach to my belt.
How much do you carry? Depends, but can carry enough juice to last a few weeks at my settings/style of vape.

Yeah, I bought a pack last night . I'm very confident I can stop again when I get back, but even so, I'm definitely not happy smoking (even for only five weeks). It feels like I'm letting myself down. I think you're right; it's time to go get that outrageously priced ego or maybe an RDA as @CagedSpam suggested. They won't have anything on my wishlist, but they should have enough to keep the cravings at bay.

Thanks for the support @stols001!

Wow! Thank you so much! I will DEFINITELY check out these resources. I've been getting more and more interested in your style of vaping lately. Seems like you've figured out ways to solve a lot of the inconveniences I've come across.

I'm not ready to splurge on any really nice RDAs just yet; although, I'm not opposed to trying out some clones. Once I figure out what kind of vaping style works for me, I'll be more than happy to invest in some really well-machined equipment. I really appreciate the feeling of holding something well-made, but I don't think I'll be spending over $100 on an atomizer anytime soon.

Bottom-feed devices are also really interesting to me. Do you have any thoughts on the Berserker MTL RDA?

If the kanger rba head leaks it is usually a wicking issue, if not wicking an o-ring is probably the problem.
Had the same problem with two kangers. I did find out it was a wicking problem. There is a fine line between leaking and not leaking. I took a while to get a feel for how much cotton to use.

It may be on the late side, but I used to get my mail via the U. S. Embassy (general delivery). Just have to get the local phone number for the mail room and visit them to prove ID and leave a contact number. Typical Postal rules apply, though.

Just a thought.

I’ve recently went on a trip to Europe from the US.. let’s just say my group had made rules to where you couldn’t bring any “open mod” that you could fill up with juice by yourself (leaving the only option a Juul). Anyways 9 days into the 17 day long journey I ran out of Pods for my Juul and ended up buying a pack of cigs. Let’s just say a carton and a pack later I was back in the US... I’m honestly surprised at how much I actually smoked. I f**king hate not having a mod and I WILL NEVER EVER forget to bring backups, batteries, wire, cottons, coils, everything with me (including 2 more mods) where ever I go.

Hello everyone. Thanks for all your help. I've learned a valuable ($$$) lesson.

I found a nice vape shop and the owner was able to get me setup with a Tsunami RDA.

It didn't cost me as much as I was expecting. Fifty dollars for an RDA that I can keep using in the US and most importantly no more cigarettes!

Nah. That's PATINA.

It's seen some use, yeah. Kind of falling apart. You might notice it's missing a screw as well.

Hopefully Five Weeks will be enough for Fast Tech to deliver the new Pulse BF and Galaxies MTL RDA to my home in the states (also got the Coil Master V3 DIY Kit). Looking forward to some welcoming gifts .
