I ran across a battery that I'd filed away for future mucking around with, and decided to do aforementioned mucking :)

510 manual battery, with about 6 months use. When i'd hit the button on it, the LED would flash slowly 4 times. When I put it in a charger, it woudl start flashing rapidly a dozen times or more. Wouldn't give me any power output. I put it away about a month ago.

I decided I'd try to take it apart, and see what made these things tick.

I found this post: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ssemble-joye510-batteries-mcguyver-style.html

I dug out an old broke down atomizer, ripped it apart with some pliers, and I couldn't really find anything "L" shaped to fit in there, so i figured I'd try yanking on it with the pliers some more. Suddenly, the battery lit up, without flashing. I connected it to an atomizer, and bam, the atomizer started up right away. I used it for a while, and then I put the newly working battery on the charger, and the charger lit up red and the battery had no complaints at all.

Working just as good as it did when it was new!

well, as I said, the lights on it were flashing, so i'm guessing that there was something wrong with the connector, if I hit the button on it prior, it would give me a few long flashes, and when i charged it it would give me a lot of quick flashes. Never gave me any power output.

After yanking on the connector for a while, I guess I must've dislodged whatever was blocking it from workign right, or re-lodged whatever was broken :D

I wouldn't recommend cranking like hell on a battery with pliers normally, but if the battery doesn't work at all, i guess you might as well try somethin. Just don't break it!
