Recently the cut off from my janty dura has been extremely bad (less than 2 sec draw), it was never like tht before, so i decided to fiddle around and try and get it fixed.

All i did was get a paper clip and very carefully stuffed some tissue inside the hole in the battery, wiggled it about a bit, and hey presto, i can puff away without it cutting out!

I read a post from ludo saying most of the issues are from juice getting in the battery, so i think most bats are easy to fix.

Try it out anyway and let me know..

Ya But Once the tissue gets some juice on it your all done, by doing this you are definitively causing a higher chance of causing a short circuit!

I don't suggest this temporary fix or any other Dura Battery Fix because they are all Defective.

Freddo I give you credit for Nice try and keep us posted how long your fix last, rather how long before your battery is deceased.

I guarantee your battery will die anyways, all the Janty Dura Batteries are Junk (Defective) and Its Not Because They Are Getting juice On Them.

The Dura Batteries are just poorly made, bad tech design, air switch issues, lack of or no QC and very cheap battery cells used in them. You Should Notify The Manufacture Joye Tech.

Once enough people start complaining about these defective Dura / Yeti / Joye 510 Batteries, they might actually do a real upgrade/fix to them. There 2nd Try On Fixing Them Was Another Failure. Joye Tech Do U Hear Us Now!

Sorry But there Is No Fix For Any Janty Dura Battery Issue(s) To Date.

i just figured, my battery was already dead in my eyes, so yes you are right...this is only worth a try if your battery is practically un-usable, like mine was. when you've got nothing to lose...

Do at your own risk..but it does work..the tissue came out with a bit of juice on the end and after it worked a treat. I'll post if/when it dies.

Cheers

yes..

1) find a paper clip, or something thin enough to poke down battery hole
2) get some paper towel or dish cloth(has to be pretty thin), make sure it is quite a long piece so it doesn't get stuck in the hole, and you can pull it out!
3)get the paper clip and ease the tissue inside the hole, and then try moving the tissue around once inside, to pick up the juice that may have gotten inside.
4) remove all tissue fibres etc
5)puff, if still the same problem, repeat the process!
6)post back with your results

Hope this makes sense..

FYI I have Used & Opened Up (8) Dura Batteries, The Juice is Not The problem!

The Dura Batteries Are All Just Defective & Will Just Short Out On Their Own.....

THERE IS NO DURA BATTERY FIX!

BUT I ENCOURAGE ANYONE WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO DO WHATEVER TO GET IT BACK GOING & POST THERE EXPERIMENTS HERE!

Be Careful & Good Luck!

my fix for fluid in the batt is dripping in some rubbing alcohol, shaking it, and blowing it out with compressed air. clears everything out without shorting things.
hope this helps

I use compressed air for lots of stuff and I always have a dozen bottles or so of rubbing alcohol around the house. Don't know what I'd do without 'em.

Note: Compressed air and alcohol each have there own hazards so please be careful.

Cellmeister, which end is the vacuum switch in? One of my batts got to where you had to puff Real hard 3-4 times then it would work a minute. Soon stopped working at all. I think it's the switch. Jeff at janty said he was sending another one but didn't say to send the bad one back. Do they require you to send it? If not, it's experiment time.
