No pun intended, well maybe. :D Too much? Am I getting carried away?? Let me know your thoughts. It's a MS Excel 2010 file. Figured I could make a lot of liquid with the quantities. I'll do more storage and safety studying before I order.

Thanks in advance and Happy vaping!! :vapor:

I wouldn't start out with large sizes of flavorings. You may or may not like them. There are many vendors that you may like better. I'd suggest starting with small quanitities to find out what you like before buying large bottles. I have been doing this a few months and still buy small bottles and I have plenty with these.

I don't use beakers at all, mix right into the bottle but you may want to use those, some people do. You always need more bottles than you think! Good luck mixing!

Thanks. I'll look into smaller bottles of flavorings.

As far as mixing beakers go, I'm kinda OCD and thought I might need them. I'll wrestle with my self and see who wins. :D

Thanks again and Happy Vaping!! :vapor:

Hi, Simply Red! Waving!!! Lol. I haven't seen you in awhile and hope all is well with you. I agree with the smaller sizes in flavorings and also syringes handy. And different syringes have different markings of measurements on them so I think a 10 ml syringe that shows the .2 mm, .7 mm markings, etc., are best. You will learn to make a small batch to taste test and it will require very small amounts of flavoring that a beaker won't work well with for measuring. Beakers are ok for when you know of a flavor you love and want to make a big batch. But even then I still tend to need my syringe for getting an exact measurement on my flavorings that might be something like 2.7 ml, etc. and I have found that I prefer different flavors from different vendors. For example, I love capellas popcorn but not so much the other vendors popcorn. Same with caramels from some but not others. It depends on the flavor, but that's the fun in DIY. Also, I like to use the biggest gauge and longest needle I have for reaching down into the bottom of the flavor extract bottles when they get low. And the bigger the opening on the needle that the fluid goes through is nice for when you want to use it possibly for VG at times. I also keep a bowl of water by me to flush my syringe out in between uses. :)

I found the bridgeless atomizers fusing when looking online. Could just be me. I ended up getting one of these and it works great! It's a cheap dripper to see if you might like it and I love it. Very easy to use, just drop 3 drops of liquid through the drip tip and vape.

SMOK Dripper RDA

Well that looks kinda cute!! How do you change the flavors? I'm a "tank" guy. Not sure how "drippers" work.

I agree with what everyone else has said. Buy smaller flavors, and more variety. Buy big sizes later when you know what you like. I'd nix the beaker. Pg and VG are so thick that transferring stuff from a beaker would be a pain. You can lose a couple of ml just from stuff sticking to the sides, or you can stand there for 10 minutes holding the beaker to try to get as much of the liquid out.

I mix in bottles, even batches as large as 60 ml. For big batches I use large 20-30 ml syringes, so I can push all the liquid out. If I need more than will fit in a 20-30 ml syringe, I will just measure twice (i.e. If I need 40 ml of VG, I use the 20 ml syringe twice).

i also agree on getting a dripper. To change the flavors, you can either drip some unflavored and vape through it, or just drip your new flavor a few times till the taste from the old disappears. I think with a dripper you will have to learn how to rebuild though (if you don't already).

Before I got a dripper, I would just fill a protank with about 2 ml of my juice I was testing. I figured 2 ml was enough to give me a good idea. If I couldn't make it through 2 ml, I labeled the juice as 'unusable' and dumped it, rinsed the coil, and loaded up another to try.

Avid Vapor really has a great selection of atomizers and basically specialize in atomizers. Here's a link to a decent one for taste testing. LR510 Low Resistance Atomizer 2.0 ohm (Cisco Spec) - Avid Vaper I went through a long spell of loving dripping so much as far as flavor and throat hit, that I used even better ones from this vendor later. But the Cisco at 2 ohms is decent for what you want to use it for. When you first use a dry atomizer, put about 5-6 drops in it. Then Vape and if it tastes slightly dry add another drop. Once you get it going and broken in, after that you can just drip 2-3 drops at a time because there is always a lil bit of juice standing in the bottom cup once you get it going. If you want to change flavors, blow through the top and let the juice shoot out the batt end into a tissue a few times to empty it. Then you start over again with the 5-6 drops initially, and later just 2-3 drops again. If you have a flavor that won't disappear from blowing it out, you can boil them for 5 mins., pour out and put fresh water and boil another 5 mins. Blow the water out good and let it dry overnight before using again.

That just sounds like too much fun!! Think I'll nix the beakers. :vapor:

Yeah, I had bought a graduated cylinder, thinking that would be good for large volumes. I got so frustrated the one time I used it to to make a batch, I rigged up a sort of stand that held it inverted over a bottle so I could just leave while it slowly drip, drip, dripped into the bottle. I went back to syringes after that.

As stated above changing flavors is easy. A variety of ways. You can just add the new flavor when the one you are using gets low. If it is a strong flavor you can simply rinse with warm water and dry burn, then add new flavor. Or vape unflavored between flavors. Some just change the wick or cotton if you prefer. I have always used a tank too but since trying this, I am now a dripper!

I got this for the sole purpose of trying flavors when mixing, it has change my whole way of vaping. Good luck!

Btw, Simply Red, I think I initially thought you were someone else that I met in person before, but now I realize you probably aren't that person. Lol. Thought I'd mention that in case you wondered why I said my first statement in this thread. Ha! Good luck.

It's all good! When I first joined, someone said, "Welcome to the family!". :D
